CSR Project
Situation is actively involved in Africa’s development from a technology point of view. is a pioneer Objective Legit Art is a company that specializes in high end quality TV productions . Currently we have two local productions running on air, Changing Times and Mheshimiwa which run on KTN. Changing times was voted the based production. We would like to partner with to develop either a documentary or a short film that highlights the significant contribution of to Africa ICT development.. Strategy: To accomplish this, Legit Art in Partnership with Google propose to run a documentary or a 3part series film production that will portray. • The significant potential that exists for IT development in Kenya and what Google is doing to contribute to its development Highlight some successful CSR projects and programs that Google has undertaken within the country e.g. Community Technology Access program, Young Scientist Conference and many more activities that Google has done. Its successful partnership with intergovernmental organisations. non-government organisations and

Its contribution to curb digital piracy and encourage development of Local IT talent Its contribution to projects that a self sustaining and projects that transform the lives of communities. Examples include its Google Unlimited Project The documentary of 3part series film will also highlight the challenges and major obstacles to ICT development.

Tactics: In order to achieve the above we propose either of the following:-

A Documentary:1. That will cover the CSR projects that Google has undertaken. This will include interviews from beneficiaries who have participated in the projects 2. Interviews from Google staff concerning their experience through the CSR projects 3. Interviews from the partners who have worked with Google either government and non-governmental organisations. 4. The documentary will capture the ripple effect of these projects. 3 Part Series:This will act as a movie that will capture the importance of exposure to ICT development. A story line will be formulated that will revolve around the opportunities that one develop as a result of ICT awareness and development programs. For Example A story could be told of young girl who is very smart but comes from a less fortunate back ground with little finances to see her through her secondary education. What eventually happens is that she finds herself in a Google CSR programme and develops her IT skills to become a guru in her industry. Of course the theatrics’ that make up a good story line would be put in place An example of such a successful 3part series was Shugar a local production short in 2009 concerning HIV/AIDs. The production was sponsored by MTV staying alive campaign. NB: For the above productions we would secure airplay within the local TV stations. Analysis: The importance of such production work includes:1. The public will become aware of the projects that Google has undertaken locally. 2. The challenges that limit ICT development will be brought to light 3. The viewers will be encourage to embrace technology 4. It will act as good publicity and marketing for Google 5. Google will be seen to promote local productions 6. The rights and patterns to this production will belong to Google.

Budget The budget varies depending on the type of production work.
