Dear Fellow Parishioners,
Your Parish Council prays for peace and continued commitment to our Lord’s church as we
progress through the Lenten season.
We recently received the attached communication from Metropolitan Isaiah in regards to the
pending ratification of our newly elected Parish Council members. We previously submitted the
required documents as requested per the Metropolitan's letter dated January 7, 2015. The
Metropolitan has now made us aware of yet another document that was not included in the
originally submitted packet, although it was prepared along with the other documents. The
Hellenic Heritage Campaign Committee funds referenced in his most recent letter have been in
the same High Tower account since their collection in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. The
account has always been under the control of the Parish Council since the Parish Council
President is one of the signatories, and nothing can be done with these monies unless all three
signatories agree. All monies have been secure and are earning interest per the input of the
Parish's finance committee. All funds are restricted and will soon be used for their intended
purpose as the Holy Trinity campus project commences.
The Parish Council has never had concerns about the security of these funds. Our Metropolitan
however is opposed to their current stewardship per the signatories not all being on the Parish
Council. For now your current Parish Council will continue to serve and support our ministries
until the newly elected members are ratified.
