Eleven-year-old Lily is new in the neighborhood. Her body is changing and she is starting to think about romance. When her mother, Nicole, drags her to the pool in a new bikini, all of Lily's worries are realized. Unfortunately, Lily has more to fear than just puberty and boys. Pushed by the subtle pressure of her mother and friends, Lily will find herself trapped in the situation she most wanted to avoid.

   Susana Casares

Writer / Director / Producer

Susana was born in Barcelona, Spain. After receiving her BA in Translation and Interpreting, she finished a BFA in Fine Arts with a special focus in Video Art and Photography. She spent two years in the department of Film at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach, Germany, where she focused on video art, photography and documentary filmmaking. Her work has been shown in exhibitions and festivals around the world, including the Berlin Film Festival and the Instituto Cervantes. Currently, she is completing an MFA in Film Directing at UCLA, Los Angeles, thanks to a scholarship from Fundació La Caixa, a prestigious institution in Spain. In 2010, she received the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Award, the Mary Pickford Award and the Panavision New Filmmaker Grant.

Dagmar Weaver-Madsen

Director of Photography 

Dagmar is completing her thesis research at UCLA for a Cinematography MFA degree. She also completed her BA in Communications at UCLA with Magna Cum Laude honors. In 2009 she attended the Budapest Cinematography Master Class under Vilmos Zsigmond A.S.C. She has also had the privilege of studying under Roger Deakins ASC, Joan Churchill ASC, Stephen H. Burum ASC, and Johnny Simmons ASC in their master classes as Kodak Cinematographers in Residence at UCLA. Dagmar is especially proud of shooting a feature documentary in India about sponsorship and education, and "The Absence" a 35mm thesis film for which she has just been awarded the The William A. Fraker, ASC, BSC Heritage Award. Additionally she has worked on new-media content and web series: as a DP and segment director for Kevin Smith and as a co-creator of a new-media website centering around user-generated art, documentaries, and shorts that won best student site at Austin’s SXSW Festival ‘07. In 2010 she won the Panavision Cinematography Prize.

Eric Karkheck

Producer

 After finishing undergraduate education, Eric shot and edited many short documentaries focusing on non-profit groups in the Chicago area. Then, on a whim, he moved to New York to assist on the post-production of Triviatown, a feature length documentary about the world’s largest trivia contest in Steven’s Point, Wisconsin. After this film hit the festival circuit, Eric started at a daily hour long show for ESPN, and within a year rose to the postion of post-production supervisor. His career then turned to promo creation for a variety of cable television channels before moving to LA to begin enrollment at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Diana Densmore

Producer

Diana Densmore, born and bred in Middle America, received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, double majoring in Film & Video Studies and Creative Writing.  After a short stint in Australia she returned to Michigan and worked on television commercials, short films and documentaries. She also taught both performance poetry and photography in after school programs before moving to Japan to teach English. She is now a second year MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA, where she has been selected finalist for the Sloan screenwriting contest. She has helped produce one of the finalist films for the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker’s Award. In 2010, she developed and produced a documentary project with Susana Casares that was selected by the Bill &  Melinda Gates Foundation Storyteller Initiative. She was also a finalist for the Sloan Screenwriting Fellowship.
