Mr. & Mrs^ Herbert McMillan
flew to Grand Junction, Colo, to
be with their daughter Janet
Line and her husband. Charles.
They returned Monday evening.
Janet and Charlie both'want to
thank everyone who sent good,
wishes, prayers and genuine con
cern. They feel it was a factor
in Charlie's seemingly jmproved
condition. Thanks again.

He was born in Dayton on
Sept. 22. 1941 toRoy and Beulah
Line and graduated from
Waynesvllle High School in 1959.
He received his bachelor's degree
from Ohio University in geology ,
and he married Janet McMillan in •
1962. After graduating from col
lege he moved with his family to
Butte. Mont, where he worked for
Anaconda Mines. He attended the
University ofMontana in Missoula
for two years and completed all
but his thesis work. i
He lived and worked in many
Western states during the follow
ing years. He was an exploration
geologist for the Atomic Energy |
Commission. Kerr-McGee j
Corporation and Morrison |
Knudson in Boise. \
His work took him and his fam
ily to Butte; Missoula; Grand
Junction. Col.; Albuquerque; Reno
and Kennewick, Wash, before
moving to Boise in 1981. He
joined the Church ofJesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints in 1965 and
he and Janet were married in the
Idaho Falls Temple in 1966.
He worked for the LDS church
for the last 14 years. He and Janet
were married for 31 years and
divorced in 1993.
He is survived by his former
wife; children Kelly Valle of Boise.
Rob of Pleasant Grove. Utah. Dan
of Enterprise. Ore.. Kris of Boise.
Holly Prows of Boise, Heather of
Salt Lake City. Heidi Vong of
Meridian and Kerry, serving on an
LDS mission in Metairie. La.; .
grandchildren Erin Valle. Andra
Line. Dalian Valle. Jay Valle.
Megan Line. Kyle Line and Marie
Valle; his mother Beulah; and
brothers Roy and Raymond of
Xenia.
Funeral service was held
Thursday. April 3 in the Northview
LDS Chapel with Bishop Steve
Christensen of the Boise 11th
Ward of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints offici-
aUng. Burial was at Dry Creek
Cemetery. Arrangements were by
Relyea Funeral Chapel.

are all Eagle scouts
Three former Waynesvllle
residents- now hold the r^k of
Eagle Scout in the scouting
organization at Meridian, Idaho,
where they now live. The rank is

the highest attainable.
The three youths are sons of
Charles and Janet- (McMillan)
Line and earned the honor over a
period of three years. Rob was
first, followed by Dan and Kris.
Rob attended Brifiham Young
tjiilversity,' oh " a ' leadership
scholarship and played for the
BYU basketball team in the
19&4-85 season. He is now serv
ing in a church mission in Quito.
Ecuador.
Dan attended BYU during the
1985-86 year on an academic
scholarship and was on the
dean's list while there. He worked
for Hewlett-Packard's SEED Pro
gram and left on a mission to
Albuquerque. N.M.. on Sept. 3.
Kris entered BYU on a dean's
scholarship In September. He has
worked for Inter-Mountain West
Insulation of Boise. '
The three brothers lettered in
sports at Meridian High.

Chcu'lea and Janet Line. Rob has S sisters and 2 '
brothers. He wczs bom on a very cold Montcna day
as it ivcjs . His da.d vas so excited it a
boy, he went to a church basketball dame and •
scored 23 points. That might he why Rob loves
basketball so much. -
Rob has lived in many states, traveling with ''
his family as his Dad worked as a geologist. He
has lived in Butte. Montana: Soda Springs. Idaho',
Grand Junction. Colorado'. Albuqueraue. Hew Mexico:-
Reno. Hevada. Littleton, Colorado; Kennewick,
Washington, and Meridian, Idaho^
He received his- Arrow of Light and Star Scout
in Colorado, and his Life. Scout in Washington. He
has' especially enjoyed the many summer ccvws and
outings over the past szx years.
Rob's Eagle projoct wds- to paint 'and eiencll
curbing at Rrontier Special Education School,
Signs for the ^landicapped were also purchased and
placed there. Special theraputic gynnastic
equipment was purchased to be used by the severely
handicapped children. *
Many scouts and friends helped with the money
making project and spent over 200 hours in their
effort. They are much appreciated. Also, thanks
to Twayne Walker for providing the work for them -
