Loan Plan Set-Up Enhancement

Business Requirements
VisionPLUS was enhanced with release 8.0 to include closed-end loan processing as a supported credit offering / repayment method. Much effort has been extended to clean up the loan functionality with release 8.11, to make the offering more attractive to our clients and prospects. An important component to the process is missing from our solution, though, and that is the ability to set up the pre-computed loans on the system. Internally, PaySys uses FileAid or some other user-input mechanism, but we do not provide an integrated solution to our customers. The new functionality should include the following features: • • • • • • • A new screen where the user will input the data required to build plan records 1 (plan data) and 2 (loan data). A new screen for input of plan data record 7 (amortization), if applicable to the loan. A new screen for input of the loan schedule, if applicable for the loan. The reference number will be user-defined and identified in one field which will then be put into the reference number fields on records 1, 2, 7 and Loan Schedule. The ability to “accept” the displayed terms and have the terms become the required input to create the loan credit plan. The credit plan build should be online, immediately. Any maintenance to the information once the plan has been built, must be done directly to the plan via ARMA. The ability to purge a plan segment which has not been funded. The plan segment should be flagged to purge in the next batch run. Note: GE has also requested a method to purge bad plan segments that were added via user-input. If, after a sale posts, there is a need to change the terms, a reschedule must be performed (current functionality). The monetary transaction still comes in separately. Field security for all fields on the new input screens and existing plan segment screens.

Current Functionality
Currently pre-computed, front-loaded loan set-up for CMS is done either by creating input files of the required records through user input or by using an independent loan origination system. PaySys does not provide any other method for our customers. To set-up a pre-computed, front-loaded loan, Record 1(Plan Data) and Record 2 (Loan Data) are required as minimum input. Two additional records, Record 7 (Amortization) and Loan Schedule can also be brought in through user input, but are not required for the loan to be set up. After the input files are complete, the ARU040 Pre-edit is run against these files as verification that all the fields pass the edits. The files are then run into the next batch run and the loan plan segments are created. The monetary transaction associated with the loan is processed separately and when it is posted, the plan is balanced.

Functional Solution
The customer will be provided with a new online data entry method to create Posting Indicator 1 (PI 1) and Posting Indicator 2 (PI 2) pre-computed, front-loaded loan plan segments. New screens will be created to provide a more user-friendly process. To accomplish this, the following changes will be done to meet the requirements for loan set-up: • A new series of screens, ARLE, will be provided to set-up Records 1, 2, 7 and Loan Schedule. Record 6 will be created during posting in the next batch run after the online entry is complete. The reference number, defined by the user, will be input on the ARLE Locate screen used to initiate the on-line input screens. This reference number will be automatically populated on each subsequent screen as the screen is displayed for input.

Page 5

CMS
Loan Plan Set-Up Enhancement

The reference number will serve as a key to determining, if this is an initial entry or an incomplete loan requiring additional input, and to help the user determine a specific plan that is to be purged. Records 1 and 2 are required for loan set-up at a minimum. Record 7 and the Loan Schedule record are optional dependent on the circumstances surrounding the loan. Record 7 can be built from information on the Credit Plan Master or from the Record 7 input, but not from both. If any data is populated on the Record 7 screen, the Credit Plan Master amortization data will be ignored. A Loan Schedule will be required if the PAYMENT TYPE, AMORTIZATION METHOD, or CCI require it. The credit plan segment, ARMA will be created immediately, real time, as each screen is accepted. The status code for the plan will reflect the acceptance of the record as complete prior to a batch run and the posting of the monetary transaction. If a monetary transaction to match the loan amount does not post in the next batch run after the loan input records are complete, the loan plan segment will be imbalanced. The status of the plan segment created (provided both Record 1 and Record 2 were accepted), will be set to an imbalanced plan status of 70 or 72, until the complete monetary transaction is received. The new input screens will be for the ‘add’ function only. Any maintenance to the loan plan segment created must be done on the ARMA (plan segment screens), but it is limited to only those fields that are currently open for maintenance. Two new screens (ARLP) will be created to provide the ability to purge a loan, which has not been funded, or has bad or missing data. The screens will also be used for a purge reversal function. There will be a new series of Field Security screens (ARFP) to control access to the fields on the new input screens. A new Field Security screen will also be created for the existing plan segment maintenance fields. Due to these new Field Security screens, the ARFS00 screen must be revised to include the plan segment and to make it more user friendly. The new screen IDs must be included on the ARMU Menu screen. Maintenance reports R06, R10 and R55 will be modified to include the new fields. Clients will continue to have the option to load plan segments through batch user input.

Loan Plan Set-up
A new method to create a pre-computed, front-loaded (PI = 1 or PI = 2) loan plan segment will be provided to the user. Data records used to set-up loan plan segments will be created online in realtime, when the files are open and the system is available for normal processing. Input to the loan set-up screen will not be allowed in after-hours. PI 3 loans are not pre-computed and frontloaded, so they will continue to be created using existing functionality to create the plan segment. The online functionality available for loans through these new screens will be: • • to “add” a PI or PI 2 loan plan segment to an existing account. to ‘purge’ a loan plan segment that is incomplete, has bad data, or is unfunded.

to ‘reverse’ a purge before the next batch run.

The loan entry screens will be available for the “add” function only. The input screens can be accessed, if necessary, to complete an unfinished record in another session. Any required maintenance or inquiry on the plan segment must be done on the ARMA screens, which is current functionality. The only ARMA screens with fields open for maintenance are ARMA05, ARMA07, and ARMA08. The required records to create a loan plan segment online are Record 1(Plan Data) and Record 2 (Loan Data). If applicable to the loan, Record 7 (Amortization) and a Loan Schedule can be created online also. Data Record 7 is optional, as it is created automatically using the values on the Credit Plan Master when not brought in through input screens. Record 3 (User Defined Data) is optional data and a new screen will not be provided for this record, as this information can be entered through the maintenance function of the ARMA07 screen. Record 6 (Original Loan Data) will be created by the system during posting in the batch run after the input process has completed.

New Screen IDs
To provide the new online loan entry, it will be necessary to create a new series of screen IDs and online screens. The Loan Entry screens will use ID, ARLE, Loan Purge will use ID ARLP, and the new Field Security screens required to access these new input fields will use ID, ARFP. The online screens for the new Loan Entry screens are: ARLE00 – Loan Input Locate ARLE01 - Plan Input Data ARLE02 – Loan Input Data ARLE03 – Amortization Input Data ARLE04 – Loan Schedule Input Data The online screens for the new Loan Purge screens are: ARLP00 – Loan Plan Purge Locate ARLP01 – Loan Plan Purge The online screens IDs for the new Field Security screens are: ARFP01 – Field Security Plan Segment ARFP02 – Field Security Loan Plan ARFP03 – Field Security Loan Plan ARFP04 – Field Security Loan Plan ARFP05 – Field Security Loan Plan

Loan Input Screens
The loan input screens will be used to set up pre-computed, front-loaded loan plan segments. The records to be created using these screens are Record 1, 2, 7 and Loan Schedule. After each input screen is completed and the user presses the enter key to move to the next screen, the corresponding data record will be built immediately. The ARLE screens are only used for the initial add of a record. If a record has not been created or the screen has not been completed, the system will determine which screen will be displayed for input. During input if any screen is cleared out before completion, the corresponding record will not be created. Refer to the section on Processing through the input screens for more information on this process. The ARLE screens can also be used to complete loan plan segments that were originally set up using the user input file. After initiating the locate screen, it will be determined which screen (record) is needed to complete the loan plan segment and only that screen will be displayed. Maintenance is not allowed on the ARLE screens.

ARLE00 – Locate screen
The new locate screen is used to initiate the online input screens. On this page, the user will input the ORGANIZATION, ACCOUNT, PLAN, and REFERENCE NUMBER. This information is system populated on each subsequent input screen as the input process proceeds. The REFERENCE NUMBER is user-defined and unique to an ACCOUNT/ PLAN combination. If multiple loan plans are on an account, each plan must have a unique REFERENCE NUMBER. An error message will display, if this screen is accessed for an account/plan /reference number combination that is already complete. User Input file allows upper and lower case reference numbers, but the ARLE input screens program always uppercases any alpha reference number whether input as lower or uppercase. If the User Input file uses a lower case reference number and the loan record is not complete, the ARLE input screens cannot be used to complete the loan records. Because the lowercase reference number will not be recognized by ARLE, a NEW loan record will be created. The User Input File will have to be used to complete the record in this instance.

ARLE01 – Record 1
Record 1 contains the plan data for the loan plan segment. This screen contains basic plan information such as, store information, payment information, plan date and rebate parameters. This screen initiates with the ORG, ACCT, PLAN, and REF NBR populated. The Rebate parameter fields only apply to POSTING INDICATOR (PI) 2 loans, not PI 1 loans. If the Credit Plan Master, PLAN number used on ARLE00 has a POSTING INDICATOR (PI) of 1, then the Rebate parameter fields will not display on the ARLE01 screen. The system will zero fill the Rebate parameters when Record 1 is created for PI 1 loans.

Payment Type

A new field, PAYMENT TYPE will be added to Record 1 input and displayed on ARLE01. When this screen is initially displayed, it will contain the PAYMENT TYPE defaulted from the Credit Plan Master of the PLAN entered on ARLE00. During the input session, this field can be maintained to a different value, if the user wants a PAYMENT TYPE other than the type that is defaulted.
Rebate Data

The rebate information is for PI 2 loans only. If rebate information is not completed on the input screen, then the rebate information will default from the Credit Plan Master. If the REBATE PER IND field (ARLE01) has a value greater than 0, the rebate parameter data used to create Record 1 comes from the online input only, and the Credit Plan Master rebate values are all overridden. If none of the rebate fields are populated on ARLE01, then all rebate data will default from the Credit Plan Master. When the plan segment is created, the rebate information displays on ARMA07.
Normal Rebate Rules

The online rebate fields must allow for a plan segment to be set up to use normal rebate rules when the Credit Plan Master has rebate parameters. This set-up is used when the existing Credit Plan Master has percentages in the rebate fields that are not to be used. When normal rebate rules are applied, no percentages are applied to calculate the rebate and normal rebates will apply to all components. For normal rebates to be applied, the REBATE fields on ARLE01 should allow the following settings: • • • •
REBATE PER IND REBATE PERIOD

must be 1 – 4, or REBATE EXPIRE must be populated. must be zeros and, must be zero.

REBATE PERCENT

INTEREST, INSURANCE, USER FEES 1 –6

If ARLE01 is set up in this manner, then the online input is used to create Record 1 and the Credit Plan Master rebate settings are ignored. Since the REBATE PERCENT and the components are 0, normal rebate rules are applied following current functionality.

ARLE02 – Record 2
Record 2 contains loan data for the loan plan segment. This screen initiates with the ORG, ACCT, PLAN, and REF NBR populated. ARLE02 contains basic loan information such as agreement, first, and final payment dates and amounts, terms, disclosed loan and component amounts, and CAP and CCI indicators. When the plan segment is created, this information displays on ARMA11.

ARLE03 – Record 7
Record 7 contains the amortization data for the loan plan segment. This screen contains amortization data such as the table, method, term, start indicator, start days or start months, rounding indicator, and fixed amounts for each component of a loan. If ARMO10, AMORT ACTIVE = 1, then after ARLE01 and ARLE02 are completed, screen ARLE03 must be displayed to give the user the option to complete this screen. This screen initiates with the ORG, ACCT, PLAN and REF NBR populated. Record 7 is not required even if Last Update: October 23, 2003

ARMO10, AMORT ACTIVE field is a 1. Record 7 data can either be brought in through the online input using ARLE03, or amortization data can be defaulted from the Amortization Table information residing on the Credit Plan Master, but not both. If any field on ARLE03 is populated then, only the online data will be used. If the TABLE field of any one component on ARLE03 is populated with either: • • A valid amortization table number or, 999, with amortization data in the other fields,

then Record 7 must be created using either table (ARKM01) specified or the on-line data. If the on line data is used, then the Credit Plan Master amortization tables (ARMC06) are ignored. If any one component on ARLE03 is populated with amortization data, then the other fields on the screen must be allowed to either be populated or remain zero, as all components are not required to be active on a loan. Since all components are not required to be active, an error should not be given if a component is not completed with amortization data. When the plan segment is created, this information displays on ARMA10. The table below explains where the Amortization data is obtained based on the ARLE03 input. Note that both sources cannot be used at the same time, either the information comes from the ARLE03 screen, the Credit Plan Master, or there is no amortization data at all. ARMA10 – TBL OVRD

When the loan plan segment amortization data is created using the on-line ARLE03 screen, the TBL OVRD field (ARMA10) must be populated with an indicator to identify the source of the data to be used during the amortization process. Either the Credit Plan Master points to an amortization table, the table number to be used is on ARLE03, the table number is on ARLE03 and the Method is 4(indicating use all other field on line for amortization) or all amortization data is on the ARLE03 screen. The following table will define the TBL OVRD values and how the indicator is to be assigned based on the ARLE03 input: The TBL OVRD indicator should be set to: 0 When the ARLE03, AMORT TABLE is: This indicates the amortization data was extracted from:

ARLE04 – Loan Schedule
ARLE04 contains the Loan Schedule Payment information for the loan plan segment. This screen initiates with the ORG, ACCT, PLAN and REF NBR populated. The Loan Schedule screen contains 120 occurrences of the Loan Payment schedule for each component. This screen is required if any one of the following settings, which all require a Loan Schedule, are present on the previous created records: • • • If ARLE01, PAYMENT TYPE is L ( Record 1) If ARLE02, CCI is 3 ( Record 2) on any component If ARLE03, AMORT METHOD is 5 (Record 7) on any component

These fields can be populated from 1 to 120 occurrences, with 3 occurrences displaying at a time. After each screen is completed, to move to the next 3 occurrences, the PF6 key should be used. The Enter key will not move forward to the next occurrences and will not accept this screen. When all the data is entered and additional payment schedule fields are not needed, then the acceptance field at the bottom of the screen must be used to complete the Loan Schedule input. This field states: ENTER 1 TO ACCEPT LOAN SCHEDULE AND 0 TO CANCEL. If 1 is used, then the Loan Schedule record will be created as part of the plan segment. A 0 will cancel all input on the ARLE04 screen and the Loan Schedule record will not be created. This field must be a space when the screen is initialized.
TYPE

If an existing plan segment is modified to require a Loan Schedule by changing the PAYMENT to L or rescheduling the loan and changing any component’s AMORT METHOD to 5, then the ARLE00 screen can be used to create the required Loan Schedule record. After the ORGANIZATION, ACCOUNT, PLAN and REFERENCE NUMBER are input on ARLE00, the ARLE04 screen will display to set up the Loan Schedule. Screens ARLE01-03 will not display. When the plan segment is created, this information displays on ARII04.
Record 3 – User Data

No screen will be provided for this record as information for this record can be entered through maintenance of the ARMA08 screen.
Record 6 – Original Loan Data

Record 6 contains Original Loan Data and is created in posting during the next batch run after the input is completed and the plan segment is being created. The information from this record displays on ARMA12 after batch processing.

Plan Status during input process
A PLAN STATUS must be assigned and updated as each loan record is created in the online session, instead of in batch. When screen ARLE01 is completed and Record 1 is created, the PLAN STATUS code must be set to reflect that Record 1 is complete, but Record 2 has not been created. When Record 2 (ARLE02) is complete, the status code must then be set to reflect that both records have been created. The status codes to be assigned during input are:
PLAN STATUS

= 10 – Complete pre-computed loan plan with complete Records 1, 2 and 7, and Loan Schedule if created. No monetary transaction has posted and batch has not been run. = 11 – Record 1 complete, but Record 2, is missing or incomplete. = 11 – Record 1 and 2 are complete, but Record 7 is incomplete.

PLAN STATUS PLAN STATUS

By the end of the online input, the PLAN STATUS should be set to 10, if all required records were created. The STATUS CODE will remain 10 until the next batch processing. During the batch run, an imbalance check is performed and if all required records are complete and the monetary transaction has posted, the PLAN STATUS should reflect a balanced loan. If the records are incomplete, then the PLAN STATUS remains 11, until further input is performed on the appropriate ARLE input screen to complete the necessary input records. Refer to Processing through batch section for further information on imbalance process.

Online Input Initiating input process
When the ARLE00, Locate screen is accessed, the system must determine if this is the initial entry for this ORGANIZATION, ACCOUNT, PLAN and REFERENCE NUMBER combination, or if this a continuation of a previous incomplete input session. The key to this determination is the ACCOUNT, PLAN, and REFERENCE NUMBER.

Reference Numbers
On initiation of the ARLE00 screen, the REFERENCE NUMBER that has been assigned to the account plan segment must be verified to determine if the REFERENCE NUMBER on ARLE00 has been used on this account before. • • If the REFERENCE NUMBER does not exists on the account, then the first input screen (ARLE01) should be displayed. If the REFERENCE NUMBER exists on the account, then the PLAN STATUS must be checked to determine if the plan segment is a complete record or incomplete record. If the PLAN STATUS is 01(active), 10 (all records created, but batch not run), 70(imbalance), or 72(imbalance), then this is a duplicate record as the reference number already exist on the account and the status code of 10, 70, or 72 means all records were created. If the REFERENCE NUMBER has been used previously, then a message informing the user that this is a ‘DUPLICATE REFERENCE NUMBER’ must be displayed on ARLE00.

Last Update: October 23, 2003
Confidential and proprietary to First Data

Page 13

CMS
Loan Plan Set-Up Enhancement

If the REFERENCE NUMBER exists on the account and the PLAN STATUS is 11, then this plan segment record is incomplete. It must then be determined which record is needed and what online screen to display. If the REFERENCE NUMBER exists on the account and the PLAN STATUS is 10, then this plan segment record is complete but it must be determined whether a Loan Schedule record is needed. If the settings for this loan require a loan schedule (PAYMENT TYPE = L, CCI = 3 for any component, or AMORT METHOD = 5 for any component), then screen ARLE04 must be displayed for input.

Segment Number
The plan segment sequence number, which is on the plan segment file, must also be determined. The sequence number is initially assigned to Record 1 and all other records created for this plan segment have the same sequence number. An account is only allowed to have 99 plan segments and the number of plan segments is located on the Base Segment. When ARLE00 is accessed and populated and it is determined that this is the initial record for this plan number, the AMBS-NEXT-PLAN-REC-NBR field must be incremented by 1(This is done in posting.). Even though the field is 3 digits, only 99 plan segments are allowed and the input process should stop on the ARLE00, Locate page, if the user tries to add 100. A message should display on the screen ‘ ENTRY EXCEEDS PLAN SEGMENTS LIMIT’.

Processing through the input screens
If it is the initial set-up, then the ARLE01 screen should display after ORGANIZATION, ACCOUNT, PLAN and REFERENCE NUMBER have been entered on ARLE00 and the Enter key is pressed. If this is not the initial set-up, the system must determine which record is incomplete or was not created and display the appropriate screen for completion. The requirements are as follows: If … ARLE00 is initiated Record 1 is complete Record 1 and Record 2 are complete And … Record 1 is not on file Record 2 is not on file Record 7 is not on file and

Imbalance check

For a loan to be balanced and active all records must be complete and a monetary transaction matching the loan amount should post. This should happen in the subsequent batch, but is not required. A loan plan segment cannot be balanced or active until it passes the imbalance check. The imbalance check is used to determine if: • • • • a monetary transaction has posted, matching the loan amount and the plan is balanced a partial sale has posted, that is less than the loan amount, and the plan is imbalanced the monetary transaction that posted is greater than the loan amount , and the plan is imbalanced. no monetary transaction has posted and the plan is imbalanced.
Force Cycle

The batch program must be revised to check for Status 10 in preparation for Force Cycle processing. • If FORCE CYCLE is active and the STATUS of a plan = 10, then the number of plans and the number of loans must = 1 in order for an account to be Force Cycled. Therefore,

• •

When plans are created online the ’number of plans’ and ‘number of loans’ must be set from 0 to 1 to be used by Force Cycle processing. If the Record 1 and Record 2 are created and the creation of 7 is cleared, do not increment the number of plans and number of loans, because record 1 and 2 are already created and the number of plans and number of loans has already been set to 1.
Status Change

The PLAN STATUS of the plan segment coming into batch input is either, 10 or 11. The PLAN STATUS code may be set by the system to a new value at the conclusion of the imbalance check dependent on the posting of the associated monetary transaction. In the first batch run, after the loan set-up process is complete, • • if the monetary transaction has posted and the plan segment passes the imbalance check, PLAN STATUS 10 will change to PLAN STATUS 01. if a partial monetary transaction posts to the plan segment, the PLAN STATUS 10 will change to PLAN STATUS 70 and the plan segment is imbalanced, When the remaining monetary transaction posts, then the plan will pass the imbalance check, and the PLAN STATUS will change to 01. if a monetary transaction that posts to a plan segment is greater than the loan amount the PLAN STATUS 10 will change to PLAN STATUS 70 and the plan segment is imbalanced. When the monetary transaction is corrected to be the loan amount, then the plan will pass the imbalance check, and the PLAN STATUS will change from 70 to 01. if no monetary transaction for the loan has posted for the plan segment, then PLAN STATUS 10 will change to PLAN STATUS 72 and the plan segment is imbalanced. In the batch, when the monetary transaction does post, the plan will pass the imbalance check and the PLAN STATUS will change from 72 to 01. if all required records are not complete, even if a monetary transaction is processed through batch, the PLAN STATUS 11 will remain PLAN STATUS 11. If there is a monetary transaction, it rejects until the records are complete. The rejected monetary transaction continues to cycle until the records are complete. When the records are complete, the rejected monetary transaction posts, if the plan passes the imbalance check, the PLAN STATUS will change from 11 to 01. If the plan still does not pass the imbalance check then the PLAN STATUS will changes from 11 to 70, or 72.

Loan Purge Screens ARLP00 - Locate
This screen should be populated with the ORGANIZATION and the ACCOUNT the user wants to use the purge function on. All loan plans available for purging or reverse purge are displayed on the next screen, ARLP01. If no loan plans are available for purging, the following message will be displayed: NO LOAN PLANS AVAILABLE FOR PURGING. Last Update: October 23, 2003

ARLP01- Loan Purge
This screen displays all loan plans associated with the account, which are eligible for a purge or for a reversal of a purge. This screen should be accessed at the user’s discretion to purge loan plan segments that are unfunded or loan plans they wish to remove due to incomplete or bad data. The only loan plans that are displayed are loan plans with a current PLAN STATUS of 10, 11, 72, or 80 (plan is flagged to purge in next batch run). From this list of plans, the user can choose a loan plan to purge or reverse a purge by completing the ACTION field. The values for the ACTION field are: P R = Purge the plan for this account and assign a PLAN STATUS of 80. = Reverse the purge of the plan and reassign the previous PLAN STATUS.

To select a plan for purge, enter a value P in the ACTION field. When a plan is selected for purging, the PLAN STATUS in the: • • •
CURRENT STATUS

field is moved to the PREVIOUS STATUS field,

the CURRENT STATUS is changed to 80 and the plan is purged in next daily run., and the AMPS, DTE-STATUS CHG field must be updated on the plan segment.

The PLAN STATUS of 80 will flag this plan for purging in the next batch run. When a purge is done, the AMBS-NEXT-PLAN-REC-NBR field must be updated in the batch process using current functionality. Also the DTE-STATUS CHG must be updated There will also be an option for reversing a purge. The only loan plans available for a reversal of a purge are those with a PLAN STATUS of 80 (flagged for purge in the next batch run). The reversal can only be done prior to the batch run the plan segment was to be purged in. To select a plan for a purge reversal, enter a value R in the ACTION field. Once the batch is run and a plan is purged, there is no way to reverse this action. If a purge reversal is done, the PLAN STATUS in the: • • •
PREVIOUS STATUS CURRENT STATUS

field is moved to the CURRENT STATUS (80) is moved to the PREVIOUS STATUS, and

the AMPS DTE-STATUS CHG must be updated on the plan segment

Example of purge and reversal: Plan 12345, plan is eligible for purge and is displayed on ARLE01
CURRENT STATUS = 11 PREVIOUS STATUS = 11

Plan 12345 is flagged for purge in next batch
CURRENT STATUS = 80 PREVIOUS STATUS = 11

Purge Reversal is done before batch:
CURRENT STATUS = 11 PREVIOUS STATUS = 80

Field Security ARFS00 - Field Security Locate
New plan segment Field Security screens (ARFP) will be created to control the new ARLE, and the existing ARMA maintainable fields. Existing Field Security functionality will be used for the fields displayed on ARFP. The current ARFS00 screen will be revised to include Field Security screen for Plan Segments and Loan entry screens. A new value, P will be added to the FILE IND field to access the new Plan Segment screens (ARFP01 – 5). The ARFS00 screen will be revised to remove the RECORDS field. The values for FILE IND are: A B N E = All screens (ARFB, ARFN, ARFE, and ARFP) Default = Account Base Segment screens only (ARFB01 to ARFB03) = Name Address screens only (ARFN01 to ARFN02) = Embosser screen only (ARFE01).

P = Plan Segment only (ARFP01 to ARFP05) When you add a new Field Security record, FILE IND must be A to display all screens. When you access an existing Field Security record, FILE IND can be A, B, N, E, or P depending on which screens you want to display.

ARFP - Field Security Plan Segment
The new Field Security screens, ARFP01 – ARFP05 will control existing maintainable plan segment fields and the new input screen fields (add only). The ARFP fields are listed in the Field Description section of this functional. The table below identifies the relationship between the new field security screen and the screen it controls: Plan Segment Field Security Screen ARFP01 Controls Existing Plan Segment maintenance fields on ARMA05, 07, 08 ARLE01 (Plan Data) ARLE02 (Loan Data) ARLE03 (Amortization) ARLE04 (Loan Schedule)

Report Modifications
With the development of new Field Security (ARFP), Loan Entry (ARLE), and Loan Purge (ARLP) screens, it will be necessary to include the maintenance of the fields on these screens on the existing Maintenance Reports - R06, R10 and R55.

Field Security Maintenance – R06
This report reflects any changes made to the Field Security screens. With the addition of the Plan Segment Field Security (ARFP), changes made to the plan segment maintainable fields (ARMA05, ARMA07, and ARMA08) must be included on the R06 report. Also, the new fields added on screens ARFP01 – ARFP05 must be added to the report and any changes made to these new fields must print on the report.

Plan Segment Maintenance - R10
This report reflects any changes made to the Plan Segment Master File. With the new online input (ARLE) and loan purge (ARLP) screens, changes to the R10 are required. The Plan Segment Maintenance Report is currently being created when a loan plan segment is created through the user-input file. This report now needs to be produced whenever a new loan plan segment is created using the on-line input functionality. In addition, whenever action is taking on the ARLP01 screen, the PLAN STATUS changes, so this change must be reflected on the R10 report.

Loan Schedule Maintenance- R55
Currently, this report reflects any changes made to fields on the ARCI04 screen or when a new or modified loan schedule is loaded through user input. With the new online input, this report needs to be produced whenever a new loan schedule is created using the on-line input functionality.

Non-Monetary Functions After Hours

Note: User Input file allows upper and lower case reference numbers, but the ARLE input screens program always uppercases any alpha reference number whether input as lower or uppercase. If the User Input file uses a lower case reference number and the loan record is not complete, the ARLE input screens cannot be used to complete the loan records. Because the lowercase reference number will not be recognized by ARLE, a NEW loan record will be created. The User Input File will have to be used to complete the record in this instance.
