Position Title: Purpose of Position:
Education Foundation Intern
Collect and manage alumni information and Excel database. An opportunity for practical experience in applying skills learned in course work and to be creative and learn new skills. Work will be scheduled around chosen intern¶s schedule at the local Administrative Building This is a unpaid position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contact alumni through email, telephone, social media and mail to collect up to date information for future mailings. Opportunity to work independently in a non-profit setting. Work with Public Relations coordinator to create newsletters, emails and flyers for alumni. Communications: Communicate information and progress to Committee Chair and other committee members as needed. Have well-developed written and oral communication skills. Computer Hardware / Software: Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, and other social media Self-Directed Learning: Ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks through independent learning Personal/Social Development: Exhibit professionalism and courtesy Exhibit positive customer relations skills Team Work/Team Leading: Ability to work in a team environment
