Mobile Phones
Mobile phones have become an irreplaceable device in our lives. But why are they so popular and why we cannot live without them? Firstly, they are portable. Therefore, it is convenient for us to carry mobile phones and keep in contact with others at any time. An example of this would be that where there are no telephones, we can use our mobile phone. Secondly, they enable us to call for help during times of emergency. For instance, if you are involved in an accident, you can call the police immediately using your mobile phone. On the other hand, there are disadvantages of using mobile phones, too. Research has shown that they give out radioactive waves and some scientists believe that this radioactivity can cause brain tumors or damage our ears. A final key argument is that people can easily become dependent to mobile phones and the functions that the mobile phone enables such as MP3 player or games. As we have seen, there are strong arguments on both sides, but I think that mobile phones are necessary tools that we cannot live without, but we should use them less. Therefore, we should think carefully about the advantages and disadvantages before buying a mobile phone. For Mobile phones are portable. They can help us in emergency.
