Motivation can be defined as the inner propelling force or impetus prompted by an inner persuasion, incentive or reason giving the person the prompting to be energized to act in a certain way.

Motivation is the key to continued fruitfulness • John 15:8 "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Retained Motivation is the key to finishing your race with success • 1 Cor 9:24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.

Successful motivation involves: • Getting people to

do what you want them to do in terms of the divinely imparted vision

• When you want them to do it • The way you want them to do it • Because they want to do it

Motivation of people comes through: 1.Divine anointing inspiration

2. When people have a clear understanding of Divinely preappointed seasons and • Acts 17:26-27 "And He timing

has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, "so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;

3. Faith that God is and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Heb 11:6)

4. Desire to please God

5. Divine vision understood Matt 13:23 "But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."

6. Motivation through clear goal setting •Phil 3:14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

7. Desire to be rewarded. Commission or incentive 2 Tim 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day…

8. Desire to be an achiever.

9. Motivation through successful academic empowerment • Well equipped people are more confident to handle cells than untrained people. • Untrained people tend to be insecure and uncertain. • All leadership should be exposed to leadership training tracks

10. Desire for promotion – Matt 25:21 "His divine aspiration lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'

11. Desire for recognition •When people receive recognition or affirmation for their efforts it has a positive motivational effect on them. Just a few words of encouragement are worth their weight in gold

12. Motivation through strong relationships – the foundation of leadership and •Ruth 1:16 But Ruth soulwinning replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.

13. Motivation through team spirit and loyalty •Lev 26:8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.

14. Motivation through personal growth benefits •Some people simply desire to grow or mature spiritually, and are motivated by the benefits of maturity and Christ-likeness

15. Motivation through pleasure or enjoyment •When people perform their favorite tasks they generally experience natural motivation because of personal interest

16. Motivation through divine gifting •Rom 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

17. Motivation through the power of love •John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

18. Motivation through correct realignment of value systems • Matt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. • People correct value systems in place will spend their energy upon their highest values

19. Motivation through strong modeling or example • 1 Pet 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, example that you should follow His steps:
