Movie Review
How to Train Your Dragon (2010)
Cast: The voices of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, T.J. Miller, Kristen Wiig, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and David Tennant. Directors: Dean DeBlois, Chris Sanders Synopsis: The story takes place in a mythical Viking world where a young Viking teenager named Hiccup aspires to follow his tribe's tradition of becoming a dragon slayer. After finally capturing his first dragon, and with his chance at finally gaining the tribe's acceptance, he finds that he no longer has the desire to kill it and instead befriends it. Review: Dreamworks Animation does it again with this bold and soul-leaping 3D animation movie! Much like many of their works, this is yet another masterpiece. A masterpiece filled with dragons and Vikings and islands and fire and sheep. You’ll surely need to sit down… but you’ll only need the edge! It was when Hiccup learned that he could train and befriends the dragons, which they (the dragons) were not really trying to kill them (the Vikings) but were rather trying to save themselves from the “ultimate-boss” dragon, whom Hiccup destroyed in an ultimate dragon showdown that caused him his leg. This movie is a profound combination of comedy, frustration, excitement, and bravery that will just put you on top of a dragon. This film was rated a 98% “fresh” on the critiquing sit e “Rottentomatoes.com” and absolutely deserved it. Again, Dreamworks captured many hearts and souls –many people –and inspired them that it’s not the existence of dragons that makes a fairytale… it’s that you can ride them.
