A Review of Despicable Me 2

Despicable Me 2 is an animated children's movie. Many people love this movie because it is
a comedy or because of the attitude of the characters. Animated movies are not normally my
favorite movies, but this one is one of my favorites. You should definitely go and see this
movie. You and your families will love it. The special effects and the characters in this movie
were the best part.
The effects that went in to make each character unique
were amazing; all the characters voices reflected on their
personalities. Steve Carell is the voice of Gru; an evil
inventor, who has three adopted girls, and is in love with a
woman named Lucy. Kristen Wiig is the voice of Lucy in
Despicable Me 2; Lucy and Gru are spies. Gru has three
girls named Margo, Edith, and Agnes; they are very curious about Gru's work and Lucy. Gru
also has helpers called minions; they are little yellow creatures, and some of them have one glass
goggle and others have two goggles. Their voices definitely fit their personalities. Overall, I
would not change any of the characters or their voices.
The animation and special effects of the setting was one
of the best parts. The story takes place in an underwater
lab, Gru's house, Gru's lab, and the mall. In the basement
of Gru's house is his lab. His house is the darkest on the
street; it is damp and scary. Even though there are not very
many different settings in the movie, all of the settings were well thought through.
All of the other special effects were amazing too. The background music in the movie has
become very popular. One of the best-known songs is “Happy.” Meanwhile, the clothing really
helped you to understand the character’s personality. To close, the clothing and the music added
life to the movie.
The special effects of this movie are what made it what it is. This movie will keep you on the
edge of your seat the whole time. My sister, Gracie says, "I love this movie; it is one of the best
movies I have ever seen.” Normally, I do not like animated movies, but I really liked this one.
Take your parents with you to go and see this movie.
