Benefits
Monterey Peninsula Unified School District offers a comprehensive health benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Employees hired to work 20 hours a week or more may enroll within 60 days from their date of hire. Overview of Benefits Medical Provided by CalPERS and underwritten by Anthem Blue Cross of California Maximum benefits allowed only with Preferred Providers, Services, and Facilities. PPO – 80/20 Individual Family Office Visit Co-Payment – PPO Office Visit Co-Payment –Non PPO $500 Deductible / $3000 Out of pocket max $1000 Deductible / $6000 Out of pocket max $20 40% after deductible has been met

Dental Underwritten by Delta Dental of California Delta Premier Plan – Maximum benefits allowed only with Preferred Providers 70% - 100% (Must visit dentist once per year for incentive to increase 10% annually) $2000 Annual coverage per person for combined preventative and diagnostic care $1500 Orthodontia – Lifetime maximum per person (payable at 50% per claim) Vision Underwritten by Vision Service Plan (VSP) Maximum benefits allowed only with Preferred Providers Eye Exam, Lenses, Frames Office Visit Co-payment Frame Allowance Life Insurance $5000 Maximum Once every 12 months $10 $120 Employee coverage only.
