Systems Architecture
The Citation Mustang incorporates proven, reliable systems that have become the hallmark of the Citation fleet. Flight Controls
• All primary flight controls are operated through cables and mechanical linkage – reduces complexity and increases dispatch reliability. • Electric trim systems for all three axis. Also, a manual pitch trim wheel. • Speed brake panels on both the upper and lower wing. • Large fowler-type flaps.

Hydraulics
• Open-center, 1,500 psi system powered by an electric motor. • System operates on demand which reduces wear on the pump and system components, thus a lower chance of leaks. • Powers the landing gear and wheel brakes. Two independent pneumatic systems provide backup.

Electrical
• 28 volt, parallel bus architecture system driven by two 300 ampere starter / generators. • Each generator connected to a generator control unit (GCU) to allow load sharing and shedding. • 28 ampere-hour battery located in the tailcone features easy disconnects for removal between flights.

Fuel
• All fuel is contained within the wings – each wing supplies its respective engine. System is fully automatic. • Fuel is heated through an oil heat exchanger – no anti-ice additive required.

• Digital controller regulates cabin pressure – maximum 8.30 psi. • Standard vapor cycle system for additional cabin cooling – can be operated on the ground. • Separate cockpit and cabin temperature control zones.

Landing Gear / Brakes
• Trailing-link main landing gear – offers superior shock absorption on landing. • Anti-skid brakes are powered by the hydraulic system with an emergency pneumatic back-up system.

Ice Protection

Powerplants
The Citation Mustang utilizes Pratt & Whitney's PW615F engine.
• High-efficiency turbofans featuring counter-rotating, twin-spool design with three compression stages and two turbine stages. • Engines provide 1,460 pounds of thrust each at sea level up to ISA + 10C. • Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system – greatly reduces pilot workload and enhances engine protection and diagnostics capabilities. Detents in the throttle for takeoff, climb, cruise and idle ensure optimal power settings. • Time between overhaul (TBO) is 3,500 hours.

Avionics
The Citation Mustang utilizes the Garmin G1000 fully-integrated avionics suite.
• Two large 10.4" PFDs plus a 15" MFD active matrix liquid crystal, high resolution displays. • Dual Interface Adapter Units behind the PFDs (within the pressure vessel) are the heart of the system incorporating all communication, navigation, flight control and data management functions. • MFD is capable of displaying traffic, terrain, radar, graphical weather, airspace, airports, navaids, roads, Garmin's FlightCharts and Safe Taxi (U.S.), all standard. • Garmin FMS with dual WAAS enabled GPS navigation. • Standard Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System information displayed on the left side of the MFD. • Additional standard features: Weather Avoidance Radar, Traffic Information System, Terrain Avoidance Warning System, dual Air Data Computers, and dual Attitude Heading Reference System.

The Citation Mustang's Garmin G1000 avionics offer tremendous functionality while keeping pilot workload low.
