1. BACKGROUND
1.1. Executive Summary Following a recent meeting between 3CNET Nigeria Limited and IT Team of Jaiz Bank Plc, it was gathered that there is a need for a Network Monitoring and Analysis Solution. The need has arised out of the fact that Jaiz Bank Plc intends to rapidly scale her existing IT network over the next few months and it is imperative there is a reliable, effectively monitored and managed network to ensure smooth delivery of Banking operation and services to her customers. 3CNET Limited has put together in our opinion a solution that will not only meet Jaiz Bank Plc current Network Monitoring and Analysis need but one that will scale gracefully along with IT infrastructure growth plans. 1.2 Background of Jaiz International Plc Jaiz International plc was incorporated on 1st April 2003 as a public limited company with an authorised share capital of =N= 2.5 Billion (US $18.5 Million) . The main objective is to be an investment holding company to set up non interest institutions such as Islamic Bank, Takaful, Pension Fund Administration etc. The Bank, being the major driver of the other institutions is the main focus for now. With Universal banking now fully embraced in Nigeria, once the Bank is set up, it can offer the above services as full fledged subsidiaries, Divisions or Units. 1.3 Office Locations Abuja - Head Office Jaiz Bank PLC Kano House, 73 Ralph Shodeinde Str. Central business district Abuja Kano- Branch Office 55A, Tafawa balewa Road, Off Murtala Muhammad way, Kano Kano State Nigeria. Kaduna – Branch Office 11A, Ali Akilu road, Kaduna , Kaduna State, Nigeria.

2. HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW OF ICT STRUCTURE AT JAIZ BANK
Following our recent meeting with the IT Department of Jaiz Bank and the basic information we were able to gather from its personnel we believe the network is of the following architechture: 1. The entire network consist of 3 Physical locations connected by a third party provider (WAN) Wide Area network Infrastructure. It is expected that about 13 more branches will be added before the end of the year. 2. Head office is in Abuja with Branch offices at Kano and Kaduna respectively. 3. Various Banking Applications, Oracle based platfroms and Windows based Services are being run primarily from the head office and most likely remotely accessed through the WAN from the branch offices. 4. Network size is currently approximately 100 end users which is expected to grow over time and as more branches are opened. 5. Most likely the following devices and services and parameters need will need to be proactively effectively monitored to ensure high availabilty: a. Routers, Switches and other active network decvices b. WAN network infrastructure; network availabity and connectivity speed c. Health and status of Applications, Servers and other Enterpise Network Devices d. Effective and prompt alert/notification systems in the event of downtime or when certain predefined tresh holds are exceed.

3. 3CNET NETWORK MONITORING AND ANALYSIS SOLUTION
3.1. 4. THE NEXT STEPS TOWARDS SOLUTION DEPLOYMENT
In order for 3CNET to take our Network Monitoring and Analysis proposal to a logical conclusion towards Pricing and Implementation the following steps have to be carried out: 1. 3CNET to carry out a detailed audit exercise and listing of all the active network devices, Servers, Applications, Services and hardware paramaters that need to be a monitored. 2. Provision of Total Cost of Network Monitoring and Analysis solution based on: a. Licensing fees and also future scalability requirements. b. Hardware requirments for deployment c. Cost of Deployments services and Training of Jaiz Bank personnel 3. Provision of Total cost of ownership along with detailed implementaiton plan.
