Classroom – All classes are rigorous at a pre-AP level. In the 8th grade, students may take high school Algebra and have the opportunity receive high school technology credit. Technology – Though technology is a great expense, all students receive laptops allowing the opportunity to immerse themselves in up-to-date software. This is a unique part of what Odyssey Academy has to offer its high achieving and deserving students. Field Trips – The students take fieldtrips based on curriculum and grade level. Examples of fieldtrips are Space Center Houston, Texas A&M Vet School, and Washington on the Brazos. Current and Engaging Projects – The students participate in interdisciplinary projects at all grade levels that incorporate concepts taught throughout the semester in all classes. The teachers also incorporate projects and programs that apply to what is being taught as well as presenting a challenge through competition such as Brazos Best Robotics.

Why Are We Crucial to the Community?
The majority of our students come from homes that have limited experiences. They are also under-represented at institutions of higher learning. Odyssey Academy provides the students with experiences and opportunities to get ahead.

Environmental Projects- phone book recycling, canned food drive, participated in Global Impact Project held by Texas A&M University: placing with the following topics: Gas Consumption; From Our Community to Yours; The Climate Change; W ater, A Lifeline. For more information on this event visit: http://worldroom.tamu.edu/localaction2.asp

Broncobotics – Our program participates in the national BEST Robotics program. Each year, the program improves in performance and participation. The experience is a great tool for teaching students problem solving, leadership, and organization. How W e Do It

- How We Do It The program incorporates the team approach. The teachers meet regularly and discuss individual student need as well as program needs. The team approach also enables the teachers to meet with parents to provide a more complete picture of the student. Through the team approach, students form a stronger bond and learn to work as a team. 3
