OEM MONITORING Step-1 Check the Node status in OEM.

Status Green => Server is up and running.

Status Red => Server is Down. Step -2: Login to OEM home page.

Step - 3: To check the database services are up and running. Goto Target --> database

Status => Green shows database is up. Status => Red shows database id down. If it’s down check the database is running in node or not. 1. If the database is down start up the service. 2. If it’s up, check the user dbsnmp account is locked or able to connect to dbsnmp/oracle.

Step-4 Check the tablespace and datafile space details. Click the database and goto database home page.

Administration Tab use to check the tablespace, Temporary tablespace, Control files and datafile space check. #1. Goto Administration --> Storage --> Tablespace.

#2. Tablespace details.

Name Available space used(%) Alerts Available space used(%) Allocated space used(%) Auto Extend Allocated Size(MB) Space used(MB) Status Datafiles Type PERMANENT. Extent Management

=> Tablspace name details. => tablespace status is up or down. => tablspace having total space in percentage. => tablespace having Allocated space used in percentage. => Whethere tablespace is autoextend or not. => Tablspace having total size in MB. => Tablespace occupy the space in MB. => Tablespace is online or offline mode status. => tablspace having how many datafiles. => What type of tablespace it is UNDO, TEMP and => tablespace is Local or Big mode.

#3. To add new datafile for particular tabelspace USERS goto Action tab chose Add Datafile and click go button.

In ASM environment database datafile have to add in diskgroup specification. Chose the Automatic Storage Managemtn in File name tab.

Give the correct diskgroup details in DISKGROUP tab. If you have to set the datafile in AUTOEXTENT on click the Automatically extend datafile when full tab.

Step-5 To check the User lock and Blocking session on the database. Goto Performance --> Blocking session tab.

Step - 6: To check the top sql_id’s. Goto Performance --> Top activity tab.

Sql_id’s show top session.

To check top sql_id’s in Session, I/O and memory useage. Click the button to select the Top wise.
