In today’s era of living, people use to develop modern business transaction techniques from this technology which helps their organization to step up in attaining goal towards success in the global market. Truly that technological innovation introduced a new set of possibilities in every business organization. This changes brought by technologies around us are used as the building blocks of creating new and advanced processing in the different aspects in the industry. Many establishments want to deal with this technology and one of this is the Dermcare. Dermcare Professional, Skin, Hair and Spa have been serving Filipinos for their skin problems. It started as Dermcare Pharmacy and Skin Clinic. Dermcare Professional Skin, Hair, and Spa are a brand founded by Ms. Zenaida Palisoc, an enterprising and visionary businesswoman with years of experience in the wellness and beauty industry. Dermcare was launched in the late 1980’s selling various dermatologically-tested products. In the late 90’s, Dermcare assumed a new business concept as a total health, beauty, and wellness center

serving a diverse market. Dermcare has many branches in the entire Philippines and one of their branches is located at Dagupan City. Because of the growing demand of Dermcare in the market, the proponents proposed to develop an Appointment and billing system which help the business organization in having a systematize and organize process especially in appointment reservation and billing transaction. Appointment is the act of setting a date for a certain session or agenda and billing is the process of generating an invoice incurred from service or payment of a particular fee. The system can define any number of timeslots that a service is available. A customer can see when the service is available with its corresponding billing transaction and book an appointment. The system runs through the internet and it will let the customer to make their own reservations whenever they want, wherever they are. The Appointment and Billing system’s component is ideally suited to businesses that run with daily appointments with the system’s ability to limit bookings to a specific block of dates. According to Cathy Jameson (2010), “using appointment scheduling software is important for organizations because the most obvious benefit is customer, client, student and patient satisfaction. Without customer satisfaction it is impossible for organizations to gain profit. Having an Online Appointment and Billing system is very essential to an organization like Dermcare, besides from having a fast access to the 2
organizations info; it also allows the customer to transact and to be updated on their appointments over internet. The appointment and billing system also serve as tools for business organization’s competitive edge
1.2 Purpose of the Project To be able to have a competitive business organization, modern and advance transaction technique must be use. Thus the proponents aimed to develop an Online Appointment and Billing System for Dermcare to help the organization for having an advance and trouble-free business transaction. Specifically, it sought to offer the following features: 1. To provide an accessible and automated method of reservation of services offered by Dermcare through internet. 2. To provide an easy method of tracking customer information and reservation details thus improving the service of the business. 3. To provide accurate and reliable reports of business transactions
1.3 Significance of the study The proposed system will surely be more useful to the business organization and for the following stakeholders and customers which provide reliable, accessible, accurate and fast system functionality in their appointments and billing transaction.

Customer. The proposed Online Appointment and Billing system for Dermcare can provide the customer an accessible and flexible transaction over the internet. Stakeholders. With the use of the system the stakeholders can easily track down their customer’s whereabouts and will be having an accurate report regarding their business transactions with the customers.
Scope and Delimitations The project Online Appointment and Billing System for Dermcare will take part in attaining the organizations goal. The proposed system covers all the processes and transaction done as far as appointment and billing is concerned such as online customer registration, storing customer information, online appointment reservation and billing transactions. In the registration module, this is where new client are registered. This module allows the system user to input profile of client which includes basic profile information, contacts and address. Through appointment module, the client could set a schedule appointment, choose a treatment or service and the exclusive date. When the client is unable attend on the appointment schedule, he could cancel the appointments he had made. The validity of the reservation is on the date scheduled only.

Another module is the billing module. The project automates the payments. Processing of payments will be done in this module. The treatment and services being avail by the client will be reflected on the transaction receipt. The proponent will use ASP.Net as the framework and VB.Net as the programming language in development of system. However the study delimits online payments in form of G-Cash and credit cards and any other online money transaction.
Definition of Terms The following terms are operationally defined to have more understanding about the proposed system. Appointment.
