PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Sparta Business Academy
for Business Management & Finance (SBA) will be accepting
district enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year for
freshman students. The application is competitive and the
academy will accept no more than 125 students per year. The
academy will focus on providing students with dual credit
courses toward an Associate’s Degree in Business Management,
Finance & Accounting. The focus on finance & accounting
requires students to have a strong background in math and
business classes that will prepare students who would like to
own their own business to become successful entrepreneurs.
Students enrolled in the Sparta Business Academy will be
working towards an Associate's in Accounting, Business
Management, and Economics degree through El Paso
Community College. Students who intend to work in the field of
Finance or Accounting will require a Bachelor's Degree with a
Master's preferred. SBA students will have a head start as they
may have already achieved an Associate's Degree prior to
leaving high school. They will be able to seamlessly transition
