Waste generation rates at the various industries surveyed proved to be relatively low compared to other industrial categories. The highest rates were estimated at PH-1 and PH-4. Both these industries produce herbal supplements and traditional medicines, generating predominantly organic waste in the process.
All the industries surveyed engaged contractors to manage their waste collection apart from PH-4 who disposed of their own waste.
