Executive
Summary
Our
platform
is
based
off
creating
a
social
environment
within
Harper
that
caters
to
the
diverse
culture
of
the
house.
Our
ultimate
goal
is
to
create
a
house
that
everyone
feels
welcome
within,
and
that
the
large
variety
of
events
will
attract
their
interest
at
multiple
points
during
the
year.

Communication
We
wish
to
improve
communication
through
the
executive
and
Resident
life
staff
to
members
of
the
house,
through
both
increased
accountability
on
behalf
of
the
wing
reps,
and
each
individual
executive
member.
Our
goals
would
see
executive
made
available
to
house
members
as
much
as
possible,
and
investigate
with
a
weekly
or
biweekly
newsletter
to
the
house.
Social
Activities
We
would
strive
to
have
weekly
or
biweekly
activities,
such
as
game
nights,
movie
nights
and
small
wing
contests
to
gain
points
over
the
course
of
the
year
in
a
Harper
version
of
the
President’s
Cup!
The
logistics
of
this
would
be
worked
out,
and
residents
would
be
given
at
least
7
days
notice
prior
to
a
point-‐worthy
event.
Wellness
As
part
of
our
planning
of
events,
we
would
keep
the
idea
of
active
living
and
healthy
lifestyle
choices
in
mind.
Picking
activities
that
give
people
the
opportunity
to
be
moving
while
enjoying
camaraderie
and
plenty
of
laughs.
We
would
ensure
that
all
students
understand
how
to
access
wellness
services
on
campus,
and
help
coordinate
wellness
related
activities
with
the
wellness
rep
and
residence
life
team.
Financial
Events
organized
through
our
Social
Chairs
under
the
house
would
be
delivered
on
or
under
budget
agreed
upon
by
the
House.
If
an
event
or
activity
is
at
risk
of
going
over
budget,
by
working
through
the
Secretary/Treasurer
and
Executive
Team
we
would
re-‐submit
a
budget
at
the
next
house
council
meeting
for
our
Reps
to
approve.
This
increases
accountability
on
the
part
of
the
Executive
Team
in
use
of
the
House
budget.

About
Tim
and
Keegan
The
idea
of
running
in
House
elections
began
to
circulate
through
our
minds
in
early
September,
shortly
after
we
meet
at
a
frosh
week
activity.
After
much
bonding
and
many
laughs
through
first
semester,
we
realized
our
potential
as
a
team,
to
help
keep
making
Harper
a
great
place
to
live.
By
the
time
it
came
to
nominations,
it
was
a
given
that
we
would
throw
our
name
on
the
ballet.
We’re
happy
to
currently
be
candidates
in
the
election,
and
welcome
any
questions
related
to
our
platform
positions
or
other
items.
