3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
COMPLETE
Following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which
it is to be performed.
4. DESCRIPTION.

Technical field of invention:

The exemplary and non limiting embodiment of this invention generally relates to
automobile engineering and construction of compact portable and foldable car

Prior art:
As the population is increasing there is also increasing in demand of the automobiles.
Due to the increasing number of automobiles they will require space for driving and
also for parking. As we know there is limited space available. Due to the increasing
number of cars on roads they cause traffic jam and also they acquired a place for
parking. As the number of cars is increasing the pollution also increases. The
Portable Car (Suitcase Car) is a foldable car which can be folded in a suitcase; hence
it does not require the parking place. The size of the Portable Car is 46”x 22” so it is
five times smaller than normal car. Due to its compactness it can be used in various
big shopping malls, industries, big campus of college etc. Portable car can be used in
shopping malls, industries and for covering short distance. It can be used for
travelling purpose on the highways.

It was originally designed & built in 1991 as part of a design contest held at Mazda's
Engineering department which was created with a simple idea to have a 3-wheeled
car inside a suitcase. Instead of waiting in line for a taxi or shuttle, just open your
suitcase & drive off.

Powered by a 40cc 2 stroke engine, the vehicle holds enough fuel approximately 2
hours of driving. Can be assembled in about 15-20 seconds & comes with functional
brake lights & turn signals. Vehicle was rebuilt in a black suitcase in 1994.
But as suitcase car is running on the two stroke engine with the 27 mph that suitcase
car can run for 2 hours with the fully filled fuel tank due to the use of engine it can
cause pollution and noise.
In order to overcome above mentioned disadvantages in the present invention we
used the motor and battery instead of engine. Portable Car can be assemble and
dissemble whenever necessary and also we can carry suitcase anywhere and if
necessary we can assemble it in just less than four minute and drive it. In this
portable car we used four wheels out of that the power is given one wheel and other
wheels are supporting wheel.
If there is no use of car then we can just simply dissemble the car& put it in to the
suitcase. The portable car can carry weight up to 100kg. Maximum speed of portable
car is 30 km/hr. fully charged battery can run up to 70km.
ADVANTAGES :-

1. Portable car is a foldable car which can folded hence it does not required
any parking place.
2. Portable car is a compact car so it can be used were other vehicles can’t be
used i.e. in big shopping mall and industries
3. Portable can be assemble in 3 to 4 minutes and also can be dissemble in 3 to
4 minutes.
4. Portable car uses the battery and motor hence it operating cost required is
less than any other ordinary vehicle.
5. Due to use of battery and motor it is pollution less and noise less.
6. Portable car can be assemble and dissemble by a single person.

These and other advantages will be more readily understood by referring to the
following detailed description disclosed hereinafter with reference to the
accompanying drawings and which are generally applicable to other Method and
Apparatus for construction of portable cars to fulfill particular application illustrated
hereinafter.

STATEMENT:
Accordingly following invention provides a battery operated portable car mainly
comprising of Suitcase, Battery, Motor, Wheels, Rubber Belt, LED, Heat lone Paper,
Switches, bearing etc. It can be assemble and dissemble whenever necessary and also
we can carry suitcase anywhere and if necessary we can assemble it in just less than
four minute and drive it. In this portable car we used four wheels out of that the
power is given one wheel and other wheels are supporting wheel. If there is no use
of car then we can just simply dissemble the car& put it in to the suitcase. The
portable car can carry weight up to 100kg. Maximum speed of portable car is 30
km/hr. fully charged battery can run up to 70km.

These and other features and advantages will be more readily understood by
referring to the following detailed illustrations for a novel battery operated portable
car disclosed hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings and which are
generally applicable to other systems for construction of portable cars.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING:
The invention is described by way of example with reference to the following
drawings
Figure 1 of sheet 1 shows rear frame assembly

Figure 2 of sheet 2 shows front frame assembly

Figure 3 of sheet 3 shows frame holding rod and assembly

Figure 4 of sheet 4 shows wheel rod assembly

Figure 5 of sheet 5 shows motor shaft guide bracket

Figure 6 of sheet 6 shows handle assembly

Figure 7 of sheet 7 shows bracket wheel assembly.

In order that the manner in which the above-cited and other advantages and objects
of the invention are obtained, a more particular description of the invention briefly
described above will be referred, which are illustrated in the appended drawing.
Understanding that these drawing depict only typical embodiment of the invention
and therefore not to be considered limiting on its scope, the invention will be
described with additional specificity and details through the use of the accompanying
drawing.
Detailed description:
COMPONENTS
1. Suitcase
2. Brushless Motor
3. Batteries
4. Controller
5. Wheels
6. LED
SUITCASE:The suitcase used for construction of the portables car is with following specification

5|Page

SIZE :Width = 24”
Length = 26”
Height = 6”

Brushless Motor :Typical brushless DC motors use a rotating permanent magnet in the rotor, and
stationary electrical current/coil magnets on the motor housing for the rotor, but the
symmetrical opposite is also possible.
Motor Specification:Type = Brushless DC motor.
Output rated power = 250 watts
Batteries :Battery Specification :Number of Batteries = 4, 12 volts each
Type = VRLA Deep Discharge
Capacity = 24 Ah
Electricity consumption/charge = 1.25 units
Charging time = 4 to 5 hours

Controller :Control can be as simple as an on-off switch but more usually they are power-ondemand, where the motor is activated by a handlebar mounted throttle.

WHEELS
In Portable Car we have used three wheels one wheel at the front and two at the
back. The two wheels which are at the back act as a supporting wheels and the front
wheel is used to give the direction.
The front wheel is attach to handle and it is fix and wheels which are at the back can
removed and assemble when we want to assemble the car.
The sizes of the wheels is so selected that it can be fit in the suitcase while
dismentling.

Wheels sizes:Type of wheels = Trolley wheels
Number of wheels = 3
Size of wheel = Two wheels are 8”
One wheel is 6”

Additional advantages and modification will readily occur to those skilled in art.
Therefore, the invention in its broader aspect is not limited to specific details and
representative embodiments shown and described herein. Accordingly various
modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general
invention concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
