BANK OF CANTON'S JUAN BARRERA RECEIVES PAUL HARRIS F'ELLOWSHIP AWARD
Rotary International honors Bank of Canton's Juan Barrera

CANTON, MA (July 28,2008) - James D. Egan, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce that Juan Barrera, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager the Bank's Route i38 branch, has been honored by Rotary International with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award.

A third-year member of the Randolph-Avon Rotary Club, Barrera received the award in recognition of his demonstrated dedication to the humanitarian and educational objectives of the Rotary Foundation through his lifelong devotion to helping others in need.

"I am deeply honored to receive this award," said Barrera. "Everything we do as Rotarians is aimed to help people in need. Whether we are volunteering for events, raising funds or making donations, it is a great feeling to know that we have the unwavering support of the Bank of Canton in our efforts to reach these
objectives."
The Paul Harris Fellowship Award, named in honor of Rotary International founder Paul Harris,is one of the highest honors Rotary International can bestow on an individual. Recipients are Rotarians who have made outstanding contributions to the community and exempliff the highest ideals of the Rotary in placing "service above self." The award was presented at a dinner held in Barrera's honor on June 1 1, 2008 at La Scala Restaurant in Randolph, Mass.
