From time to time, Brand & Communications will appoint quality leaders or agents to be interviewed by the media on specific PR initiatives, highlighting their business and the Prudential brand. Such interviews will follow a predetermined script by Brand & Communications in agreement with the interviewee.

Only PAMB appointed spokespersons can give statement to the media. all journalists' queries to Brand & Communications (B&C), who can respond directly. Wherever possible, please obtain the journalists' full name, name of media they represent, and their contact number. In cases where members of the Agency force are approached directly for an interview by the media, B&C must be notified beforehand. Members of the Agency force are not allowed to give or make any company forecasts and/or projections, releasing information on company business performance, and/or corporate matters pertaining to Prudential, Prudential Corporation Asia (PCA) and/or Prudential Group operations, financial statements, legal proceedings and legal matters. You are only allowed to give information regarding your own business production.

Our Philosophy
The Prudential brand has been built up over many years and achieved its position of leadership based on its financial services expertise, its customer centricity and its integrity. We must ensure that we continue to protect the integrity of the Prudential brand to minimise confusion to customers / prospects; to build synergy across all Prudential brand reference web sites. Therefore, the following guidelines must be strictly adhered to in developing all Prudential brand reference web sites.
Domain Names • Agents, distributors and staff are prohibited to registering any domain names that begin with “PRU” as the trademarks of “PRUDENTIAL”, “PRU” and other “PRU” derived names are the intellectual properties of Prudential Group. Other than those domain names approved by the Chief Marketing Officer / local Brand & Communications Manager, in accordance to the established domain name protocol for each market (eg www.prupartner.com.my), agents, distributors and staff cannot use or own any domain name beginning with “PRU”. Agents, distributors and staff should not use domain names when they cease their service contract with Prudential.

Agent web sites 1. 1.1 Brand Agent web sites that include the Prudential Brand or make reference to Prudential in any form must be approved by the Brand & Communications Department. (Please check with your Agency Manager to find out who the person-in-charge is) Usage of Prudential’s logo must be in accordance to the Corporate Identity Guidelines and the PICA trademark agreement (a copy of the guidelines and the trademark agreement can be obtained by the Brand & Communications department) To comply with the Prudential regional trademark agreement all agent websites in “Prudential” markets (i.e. Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, China, India) need to include the following disclaimer on their landing page : “Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad is an indirect subsidiary of Prudential plc, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom. Neither Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad nor Prudential plc is affiliated with Prudential Financial Inc, a company whose principal place of business is in the United States of America.”

2. 2.1 Content The home page of the agent web site must clearly include: • A statement that the agency web site is for information purposes only. It should not be used for selling, promotions, investment advice or trading. • A statement that the agent is an agent of Prudential and is wholly responsible for the content contained in the web site • A link to the official web site (www.prudential.com.my) 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.5 All quoted statistics or examples must be obtained from a reliable source. Sources for all data must be provided on the web site. Agency web sites must NOT be used as a forum for public discussion or interaction. Contact details of the agent responsible for the web site must clearly include name, mail address, contact numbers and email. Agent web sites must NOT include banner advertising (either free or sponsored) from third parties

Products Agent web sites must NOT include descriptions or benefit illustrations of Prudential products. Should mention of a Prudential product be included, there must be a direct link to the products section on the official Prudential web site. In the absence of a local web site, a link must be included to the products section of Prudential’s regional web site.

Third Parties Agent web sites must NOT include reference to other insurance / financial services companies’, their products or services, and must not include any competitive product comparisons. Agent web sites should NOT include links or provide reference to other third parties (related or otherwise), their products or services

Misrepresentation All information contained on agent web sites must be accurate and NOT provide misleading information. The agent or agency must NOT falsely claim to be an investment advisor
CAUTION: Local regulators impose severe penalties for persons who provide misleading information or misrepresent themselves with intention to defraud. In the event of a breach of the above terms and conditions, Prudential reserves the right to withdraw all references to Prudential in agency web sites, and to pursue disciplinary actions, if deemed appropriate.
