Incoming Freshmen If you are a graduating high school student or a high school graduate whose academic performance is above-average and has a good moral character, you are eligible to apply for admission to the University.

Qualifications y Those who are qualified in the PUP College Entrance Test (PUPCET) based on the cut-off score for the upcoming school year (only PUPCET taken for its intended school year is valid);

Graduating high school students of the current year with a General Average of at least 82% or higher in first three (3) years in high school. -orHigh school graduates with General Weighted Average of 82% or higher in the first three (3) years in high school and with a General Average of 82% in the Fourth Year and and have not enrolled in any diploma/degree program immediately after high school graduation

Those with good moral character

Exemptions The following are exempted from taking the PUPCET: 1. A graduate of any PUP Laboratory High School (unless they opt to take the PUPCET for entrance scholarship purposes); or 2. An Entrance Scholar

What is an Entrance Scholar? You can be a PUP Entrance Scholar if you are a graduating High School student with any of the following qualifications: Valedictorian, Salutatorian, First Honorable Mention, Campus Journalist, Supreme Student Council President, Achiever/Awardee of Distinctive Award, Outstanding Artist or Outstanding Athlete. y Want to be an Entrance Scholar?

Document Requirements When applicant passed the PUPCET, he/she must submit an original copy and photocopies of the following documents to the ARO: For Graduating High School Student y High School Card/Form 138

Certified true copy of Birth Certificate duly authenticated by the National Statistics Office (NSO) Certification of Good Moral Character issued by the High School Principal/or Guidance Counselor. Chest X-Ray result with Film. Medical Clearance issued by the PUP Medical Clinic. 2 in. x 2 in. picture with white background with applicant's name on the photo.

For High School Graduates of past school years In addition to the above admission requirements: y Certification from high school registrar with school dry seal and noted by the Principal that no copy of F137A has been sent to other college or university. Notarized affidavit that applicant did not enroll in any school/college/university within and outside the country with "waiver" that if there is concealment of previous enrolment, PUP enrolment becomes null and void.

PUPCET ADVISORY: Slots for January 29, 2012 PUPCET online application have been filled-up. Those who registered online from September 20 to December 4, 2011 must see the Admission and Registration Office (ARO) on or before December 8, 2011 for the issuance of the PUPCET Permit. However, those who cannot secure test permit until December 8, 2011 shall be considered for the PUPCET Second Batch schedules on February 19, 2012. PUP ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP For PUP Sta. Mesa, Manila: PUP offers entrance scholarships to graduating High School students or High School graduates who have not yet enrolled in any college degree program and who have shown exemplary performance in academics and extra-curricular activities. An applicant for entrance scholarship may not take the PUPCET but has to pass the PUP Scholastic Aptitude and Interest Test (PUPSAIT).

WHERE TO APPLY All PUPCET applicants must apply online (using PUPCET iApply) in this Website (view the schedule). Applicant is allowed to apply and take the PUPCET in only one (1) campus and only once this school year. Double application will make the applicant¶s PUPCET result null and void. WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO TAKE THE PUP COLLEGE ENTRANCE TEST (PUPCET)?

WHERE TO PAY If you apply online, payment of FIVE HUNDRED PESOS (PhP 500.00) PUPCET FEE can be accepted during daily banking hours at any Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) branch nationwide. Campuses with manual application must pay inside the PUP Campus Cashier's Office. Payment of fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable.

WHERE AND WHEN TO CLAIM YOUR PUPCET PERMIT For PUP Sta. Mesa: PUPCET applicants shall secure the PUPCET permit personally three (3) working days after payment to Land Bank from the Admission and Registration Office (ARO) located at the Ground Floor, West Wing, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa, Manila, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. For PUP College of Technology Sta. Mesa: PUPCET applicants shall secure the test permit personally after payment to PUP College of Technology Cashier's Office and proceed to the Registrar's Office, PUP College of Technology, 3/F, Sta. Mesa, Manila, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Requirements: 1. PUPCET 2012 Application Payment Voucher (printed from the PUP iApply)

2. PUPCET Payment Fee Receipt of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00) from any LANDBANK branch nationwide

3. Original or certified true copy, if lost, of F138 with school dry seal (for high school graduates who have not enrolled in any technical/diploma/degree program immediately after high school graduation)

4. Duly authenticated copy of the PEPT/ALS A&E Test Certificate of Rating, certified by the DepEdBALS

5. School ID (for currently enrolled students) or any valid ID with picture (for previous HS graduates)
