DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING MANIT, Bhopal ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN- IV, 2012-13

A big business house, having flourishing industrial record around the globe, is also engaged in philanthropic and social activities as part of their agenda towards building of nation. As part of this agenda, this company plans to set up a Centre for Care of Mother and Child in various locations around the country. This centre is envisaged to educate the women in society and families about the importance of health and education for, both, mother and child in a family so as to build a healthy nation. It is believed that women take a back seat in family, when looking after themselves, especially in rural and semi urban context. As a person looking after the family, it is also seen that they are better persons to encourage children of the family towards education. The company sees the center as a reflection of the habitat of that area in terms of architectural design so as to make the users feel at ease and comfortable. But they also see it as a state of art facility that provides the best of learning and work environment for all. You have been commissioned to design the Centre for Care of Mother and Child in the designated area. The centre should have at least the following requirements REQUIREMENTS S.
