Announcement for Research Funding Opportunity 1. Announcement: 2015 Robert S. McNamara Fellowship Program Call for PhD Research Grant Applicants from Developing Countries
The World Bank administers a PhD research fellowship program, called the Robert S. McNamara Fellowship Program. This program awards fellowships of up to $25,000 annually for developing country PhD candidates to conduct innovative, developmentrelated, doctoral research under the supervision of a research advisor at a host institution abroad. The 2015 Call for Applications for this fellowship will open on January 7 and close on February 11, 2015. More detailed information including eligibility criteria and instructions for preparing an application are available on the World Bank Robert S. McNamara Fellowship’s website. The link to the online application form will be available on the website during the application period. The application form will only be in English, but candidates may complete it in English, French or Spanish. Potential applicants may also contact us at [email protected] [email protected] if their questions are not answered in our online FAQs. Please be aware that there have been some modifications to the program this year. Candidates in 2015 must be: From a developing country and cannot be dual citizens of a developed country. • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in their home country, or be working in an • academic/research institution in their home country and enrolled in a PhD program with an institution abroad.
