Lawrence Saltarelli, age 88, passed away peacefully on Dec. 14, 2010 in Edmonds, WA. Larry was born to Christina and Anthony Saltarelli on April 14, 1922 in Seattle, WA. Larry served his country in the Navy during both World War II and the Korean War. He was a Hull Technician and Diver. Larry worked for Metro for a few years and then started his career at Boeing. He retired from Boeing after 30 years. Larry was a great baseball player. He played for the Transit Driver’s team and then played for the Boeing baseball team. He was also a fantastic dancer. He enjoyed working on cars, keeping a beautiful yard, fishing, bowling and golfing. We all loved Larry and knew him in different ways. He always made us laugh with great stories about his childhood, adventures during the wars and his antics at Boeing. He had many friends who loved and respected him. He was very giving, generous and was always willing to help his friends and family. He is survived by his brother: Orlie; his children: Patty, Lawrence Jr. (Buzzy) and Maureen; grandchildren: Kathy, Kimmy, Steven, Tony, Peter and Tina; and great grandchildren: Jacob, Joseph, Hannah, Marissa and Chance.
