ANU Chemistry Society Inaugural Scavenger Hunt 2007
Instructions: Collect items on list and bring the items/photos to the BBQ held in the Chemistry Courtyard at 1pm on 28/2/2007. Bring this form and we will collect it when inspecting your loot and WE will mark off whether you have achieved the points or not. Prizes will be awarded on the day to all entrants, and grand prize for highest point scorer and best stunts on the day. Prizes may also be awarded for creativity and enthusiasm! Entry fee: $5 per team of up to 10 people (must all be members of the ANU Chemistry Society)

Extra points for correct dimensions. A researcher from the chemistry department – must be brought out into the light at the BBQ – bonus 50 points if he/she joins the ANU Chemistry Society! Find the chemistry herbarium and take a photo Bring your best chemistry joke/one liner – best one to be featured on chemistry tee shirts. Points awarded to unique jokes. Compose a chemistry song and perform it on the day Come to the BBQ wearing only a lab coat, safety glasses and covered shoes (underwear permitted) A first edition Silberberg textbook The most creative molecular model kit using improvised components Photographs of you/your team wearing only a lab coat, safety glasses and covered shoes at famous monuments/buildings around Canberra Bonus points for each garden gnome dressed in a lab coat, safety glasses and covered shoes in the photos at Canberra monuments A photograph of your team with your year coordinator (or a coordinator if you are a member of staff) A written explanation of why mentos + coke = KABOOM! Jelly in test tubes Teenage mutant ninja turtles A photograph of the most people you can fit on the ramp to Manning Clark – people must be visible to be counted in the photo Photographs of the most ridiculous signs at ANU Wikipedia biographies on members of the Chemistry staff, past or present Examples of incorrect chemistry in movies, books, websites etc – must be able to explain why they are incorrect!
