SELLER SERVER
INTRODUCTION: The selling and serving of alcohol in most of the states is compulsory by law but this is not because the state requires it but because the people who deal with alcohol (like in a bar as a bartender or in a liquor store) need to be aware of the rules that govern the sale of alcohol in the United States. Alcohol is served and sold all over the United States Of America on a daily basis. People consume alcohol to have a good time at a bar, a restaurant, a nightclub and even buy them at liquor stores. What makes alcohol so dangerous is not the alcohol, but the people consuming them. Most people as mentioned earlier, have alcohol for the pleasure factor, but some consume alcohol so often that they get addicted to it. Alcohol if consumed too much many times a day leads to intoxication, and that becomes a grave issue. Alcohol intoxication in simple terms can be defined as the state in which an individual passes the body’s level of alcohol tolerance which leads to dis inhibition of normal social functioning which can lead to damage to one’s self or others. Hence an individual selling alcohol is the only one in charge of and can be directly held by law for his or her actions. This makes it essential for every bartender or alcohol seller to know the rules and regulations governing the selling and serving of alcohol as per his or her state. Such training is provided by companies like Safe way Certifications which provide courses which help individuals learn how to gauge customers prior to serving them. The course also enables alcohol sellers and servers to check for early signs of intoxication and to protect themselves and the establishment if they come across extreme cases of alcohol intoxication. The course provides individuals with all-round training such as how to refuse the sale of alcohol to intoxicated persons and even reduce conflict. Hence the TABC seller-server training truly saves the alcohol seller and server from unnecessary trouble at work and keeps them in terms with the law. Pursuing the course gives them an edge over the others in the same industry while keeping them in touch with the rules and regulations of the state. Moreover most states in America have made it compulsory for sellers and servers to undergo the training and have a TABC permit at hand when asked for by the inspector. Safeway Certifications provides TABC certifications online and this can be conducted in a convenient manner by the test taker right from the comfort of their home or office. The course takes a couple of hours and the certificate can be printed out online after successfully passing the test. Seller/server training is taught by third party providers that are approved by TABC. In some cases, your employer may have their own TABC approved school. Seller/server training teaches you how to: ● identify fake IDs; ● recognize the signs of intoxication; ● monitor customer behavior; ● intervene when dealing with minors and intoxicated people; ● avoid a criminal history.

Resources available for licensed establishments Gone are the days when anybody or rather the bar owner himself would serve alcohol at the bar. Today's bars need a more responsible individual at hand who is capable of handling and serving alcohol to patrons coming in. The main idea of visiting a bar is to have a good time but some people go overboard by consuming too much alcohol and getting intoxicated. Such intoxicated individuals then make the whole experience uncomfortable for others around who have also come with friends and colleagues to simply have a good time. Hence, it is necessary to keep in check all those who have had alcohol above the legal limit and even look out for minors which may give the bar, the bartender and the community a bad reputation. The best way to find a good bartender is to get one who has undergone the required training and more importantly, obtained a TABC license or TABC permit. A TABC permit gives an indication that the individual is legally certified to sell and serve alcohol at a bar or a liquor store and that he or she knows the laws in the state well for which they have passed a test.
