What are Social Networks ?

Group of people interacting socially. One or no. of individuals interacting directly or indirectly with others.

What are Social Network Sites ?
web-based services that allow individuals
✔ construct a public or semi-public profile
within a bounded system they share a connection
✔ articulate a list of other users with whom ✔ view and traverse their list of connections
and those made by others within the system
After joining SNSs user identifies others with a label
