Special Events Rip Chord Barber Shop Quartet and Picnic Sunday, September 1st at St. John and St. Paul Worship, Lunch at 11:30 at St. Paul Congratulations to Lloyd and Audrey Dayton on their 60th wedding anniversary. And thank you to the Dayton’s for providing sandwiches, ice cream and cake ca ke in celebration. There will root beer floats to help earn money for the internship/seminary fund. Everyone is invited to bring a side dish to share, as we enjoy more of 

the music of Rip Chord while we eat.

Rally Day Sunday, September 8, 9:00 a.m. at St. Paul Everyone is invited to our kick-off for a new year of Sunday Sch School ool for all ages. All Sunday Sch School ool teachers, helpers and nursery workers as well as confirmation and youth yo uth leaders will be installed at the 10:30 wo worship rship service at St. Paul. We are in need of Sunday School Teachers. Please consider being part of our Sunday School Teaching Team. Contact Ruth Scott for more information.

Noisy Offering for September 8 …

This month the Noisy Offering will be for the Seminary/Internship Seminary/Internship fund. As Noisy Offering is meant to be outside ourselves as outreach, we understand that being a teaching congregation is also an outreach to the greater church as we help to to train leaders for the church. We would like to raise raise the remaining funds needed, which is $4,500. Thank you in advance for your great generosity!

Youth BBQ at Pastor Chris’s! Saturday, September 14, 4-7 p.m. at St. Paul    All Youth - Please, please, mark your calendars and do everything you can to save this date and time!

Join us as we celebrate the beginning of a new DYO year! You will get to meet our new intern, Aaron, help  plan our year (DYO events, improvements in communication, a youth chorus, choosing of a church council representative and DYO officers), and do fun stuff (ex: Wii Sports Challenge, fishing, game, etc.) Come!!! Welcome The Rev. Elizabeth Eaton The ELCA has elected its first woman as presiding bishop. Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, of Ohio, is the new leader of the ELCA. She is currently bishop of the Northeastern Ohio Synod. She is a native of Cleveland and a graduate of Harvard Divinity School and the College of Wooster.
