Hello Team,
In case of a Stand Alone Server being down at the site and if you need to expla
in the site person about the server look-alike to troubleshoot for the server to
come online, Please follow the below steps:
Locate the Stand Alone Server:
This can be done by describing what the server looks like. This description can
vary depending on which stand-alone server the site has.

Example:
Common Descriptor for a P505 Standalone:
Server is about 2 inches tall and 2ft. across.
Will have an IBM label on the right side and a Series P505 label on the left sid
e.
These servers will be black in color.
You can find the Standalone servers Pictures in at Parts Database in SST procedu
res.
Note: If green light is flashing this means the server is receiving power but is
currently powered off. If the green light is solid it means the server is recei
ving power and is currently powered on
Check that the site is not still undergoing a loss of power.
Verify Server is plugged into an outlet that is receiving power. Stand alone ser
vers should have a dedicated power source and are typically orange in color.

Check for flipped breakers to the UPC Office.
Error Code on LED screen: Located on the left hand side of the front panel of th
e P-series server is a blue latch. Have the associate pull down this latch. It w
ill drop down a small LED screen where you check the Error code. (Note: Not all
stand alone servers will have a latch to pull the LED screen down. Some will jus
t display on the front as a built in LED Display.)
A. If green light on front panel of server is flashing, have the associate locat
e the small white power button on the right side and press briefly to power on s
erver. The green flashing light should go from flashing to solid. Server will th
en start scrolling a series of boot up codes on the LED screen and the server is
in the process of boot up. If there is no response on LED screen for more then
20 minutes, NOTIFY STAB.

NOTE: P-Series can take anywhere from 10 to 45 min to boot up.
B. If green light is solid and the LED screen is blank or stuck on a certain cod
e for more then 20 minutes, try having the manager/associate at the site to pres
s the Hold/Pause key on the monitor keyboard if available. If this is still non-
responsive, NOTIFY STAB.

Make sure to note in lotus when server is powered up so time can be referenced.
Also check all network cables on the back of the server.
Thanks & Regards,
Pavan Kumar K
