Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”

John 11:40

Grace and Peace to you from the Lord Jesus! God is doing big things. My name is Jay LaNunziata, and I am a junior at MidAtlantic Christian University. This means that during the coming summer months is time for me to complete an internship. God has orchestrated things to His liking, and I have been accepted to serve with an organization called Chile Mission1. I will spend two months in Santiago, the capital of Chile. I will be serving and staying at an orphanage that currently has seven children. There are two Americans who are full-time directors of the orphanage, as well as a part-time social worker and a parttime counselor. The children vary in age from toddler to middle school. I’ll be there assisting the directors and missionaries who are based out of the orphanage. I will be improving my Spanish and also teaching English and Bible. This is quite an exciting and amazing opportunity for me. I am naturally gifted with children, so it’s a good fit for me. I became a Christian when I was 16, and I got involved in children’s ministry right away. I’ve worked with young people of various ages, including middle and high school, since then. I’ve also cared for young children. Last summer I spent two weeks in Brazil. I worked mainly with children, but also spent some time helping local churches in the city of Fortaleza and a village called Ubauna. I am currently a Resident Assistant at my school, which means I am responsible for 10 other men who live on my hall. I care for their spiritual needs and lead weekly devotions. I also have worked in the MACU library since my freshman year. Additionally, I have been tutoring in Algebra since my sophomore year. I am paid for this work, and so I have some money saved for the trip. The trip costs approximately $3500. This covers airfare, lodging, food, and travel within the country. I used $1300 of my savings to pay for the plane tickets, but I need to raise the remainder. Would you please prayerfully consider getting involved in my ministry by supporting me financially? If you are able to give, enclosed is a pre-addressed, stamped envelope. Checks may be made payable to directly to me, Jeffrey LaNunziata. If you are not able to give at this time, please pray for me to receive all of the support that I need financially and spiritually. Pray for the orphanage and all of the kids I will be working with. Pray for the spiritual warfare that goes on constantly in Santiago. Pray for the people I will come into contact with on the marketplace trips and longer excursions I will make during my two months in Chile. Above all, please pray that through me, God may be glorified. That is my goal, beyond fostering discipleship among Chileans, beyond assisting the directors of the orphanage, beyond caring for the marginalized, beyond even an ounce of love for other people, that I might love God more fully and more fully demonstrate His glory either abroad or in the USA. I thank you from the heart for reading this and for praying for me. Warmest Regards, Jay LaNunziata, Servant of Christ
