TALLULAH HIGH SCHOOL REUNION CLASS OF 1961 50 TH ANNIVERSARY June 22, 2011 Dear Classmates of THS, Many days have passed since we last gathered on the shores of Brushy Bayou as classmates or at previous reunions. It is time once again to return to the place we all called home so many years ago. It is time for the warmth and joys of high school days to bring a special excitement as we recall our friends, our teachers, and the carefree times we shared. We will laugh at memories, exchange the tales of our lives, and pause to remember those members who are no longer with us or unable to attend this gathering . While this reunion is to celebrate the 50 th Anniversary of the graduation of the class of 1961, we enthusiastically hope that our classmates, both before and after us, and their guests, will join in this celebration. We need the reunion committee representatives for the class of 1957-1960 and the class of  1962 to get the word out to their classmates. Detailed planning for the reunion is now under way. The reunion is scheduled for Friday and Saturday August 19 and 20, 2011. The reunion will start with an icebreaker on Friday night at Tallulah Country Club from 07:00 PM until 09:00. Snacks and deserts will be potluck as provided by local attendees. The scheduled activities for Saturday will be at the Tallulah Country Club from 06:30 PM until Midnight. Fifties and sixties type music will be provided. Enclosure 1 provides the Schedule of Events and the fees for the reunion activities. We must have your timely response to enclosures 2. Please complete the Attendance Response Form and the Personal Information Response Form (Enclosure 2) as soon as possible. The forms and payment must be received by August 8, 2011. The personal information on enclosure 2 is desired to update information on class rosters. We hope that your excitement is building and you plan to spend this joyous time with us.

MOTEL INFORMATION The following information is provided for the two motels located in Tallulah. If you desire to stay at a local motel, you should make the reservations as soon as possible. Rates are $66.65 plus taxes for a King size bed with two people or $76.00 plus taxes for two queen size beds with two people. You should ask for a 10% AARP discount if you are a member. The club will remain open for visiting and socializing. Snacks and deserts will be potluck as provided by local attendees. - Dress is casual. Saturday August 20, 2011 11:00 AM – 01:00 PM - Dutch treat Lunch at the Tallulah Country Club. Tallulah Country Club Doors open at 6:00 PM 06:30PM - Class photos will be taken. 07:00 PM – 08:00 PM Steak Dinner - Beverages will be available at the club. 08:00 PM – Midnight – Dance to music from the fifties and sixties. - Dress is casual. Reunion Fees The cost for the reunion will be $60.00 per couple or $30.00 per single attendees. The fee includes both the Friday and Saturday night activities.
