This week's ESPN s Thursday Night game features a pair of undefeated Big 12 South schools as the T A&M Aggies travel to Stillwater to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys. This will mark the first time th season that the Aggies have been on national television. Texas A&M has won 10 of the last 14 matchups between the two schools, however Oklahoma State has won three of the last four. Last year s meeting resulted in Oklahoma State coming out on top, 36-31, as five-point road favorites. In that game the Cowboys were able to overcome 11 penalties for 118 yards to seal the win. This year, OSU comes in as three-point favorites on the betting line.

The Aggies come into this game coming off three straight home wins over FCS Stephen F Austin 48-7, Louisiana Tech 48-16 and Florida International 27-20. In that Florida International game, the Aggies

found themselves down 20-6 heading into the fourth quarter largely in part because QB Jerrod Johnso threw interceptions on four straight drives to start the second half. They then pulled it together and

scored 21 points unanswered. A&M has had trouble holding onto the ball this year turning the ball ov

nine times in the last two weeks. That does not bode well for them as Oklahoma State is averaging thr takeaways per game. Statistically, the Aggies look very good accounting for over 500 yards of total

offense and allowing just 256 yards per game. The Aggies also started last season 3-0 but followed the hot start with a three-game losing streak that included a second-straight loss to Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma State has scored 65 points twice in victories over Washington State and Tulsa and pulled o

tight win over Troy 41-38. So scoring has not been a problem for this Cowboys squad. The Cowboys le

the nation with 596 yards of total offense per game. This is largely because they have the No. 1 receiv in the nation in Justin Blackmon who is averaging 144 YPG and have the No. 3 quarterback in 26-year junior Brandon Weeden who is passing for 325 YPG. They also boast the No. 3 running back in the nat in Kendall Hunter who is running for over 158 YPG. Also keep in mind that Oklahoma State has gone over the betting total in all three games this season. This game provides the winner as an early top

challenger to the perennial South powers in Oklahoma and Texas. The winner should also be assured a spot in the Top 25 poll. Our free College Football pick is on the Oklahoma State Sooners over the Texas A&M Aggies.
