Remember: When you repeat a course only the last grade earned is used to calculate the GPA
TEXAS Grant Requirements Remember for TX Grant a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is required
At the end of fall semester, use your transcript and project what grades you need to make for Spring. Pay attention to scheduling of classes. If you do not meet the cumulative 2.5 GPA, attend summer school to work on it.
75% Completion Rate If you use your transcript you will divide AHRS by OHRS Example: AHRS/OHRS = Completion Rate 9/12 = .75 = 75%
Note: The 75% Completion Rate has to be for Fall 2006/Spring 2007 (Fall + Spring AHRS) /(Fall + Spring OHRS)
Consequences of Not Meeting the Requirements
If you fail to complete 75% and 24 hours by the end of Summer II, you lose your eligibility for an entire year.
If you fail to meet the cumulative GPA of 2.5, you are out of the program until you raise your GPA. Progress reviewed at end of each semester.
