The Advocate Lavatory System

The Advocate Lavatory System is a new and unique concept in lavatory design. This system combines all of the hand washing activities at a single point ± the lavatory. The water, soap, and hand dryer are all located on or near the bowl area of the lavatory. This allin-one design has a patent pending and is considered an environmentally friendly lavatory system because it prevents much of the water from dripping off hands and onto the floor. Less water on the restroom floor results in less cleaning and a safer restroom. Another advantage is that each user has his or her personal space while using the hand washing station. There is no ³waiting in line´ to use a single hand dryer or get soap from a soap dispenser. The construction of the Advocate Lav System features a dense solid surface material known as Terreon and Terreon RE. Both materials are low-emitting materials and have earned the GreenGuard certification. They are composed of polyester resin or a bio-based resin and preconsumer recycled granules that are compressed under heat and pressure. The results are beautiful materials that are resistant to burns, stains, impact, chemicals, mold, and mildew. These materials are available in over twenty colors and are very durable. Any minor surface damage can be easily repaired with standard gritty household cleansers or a fine grit abrasive. An inexpensive repair kit is also available in the event of more severe damage. The Advocate Lavatory System combines the solid surface shelf with the bowl. They are an integrated system and both are comprised of Terreon or Terreon RE. There are a number of configuration options available such as differing bowl heights to accommodate children, adults and those with physical disabilities. Other configuration options include a single thirty inch station, a double 60 inch station, and a triple ninety inch station. In addition, various accessory modules can be added to single and two person stations. These accessory modules include a waste receptacle, towel dispenser, and storage cabinet. And any of the differing bowl heights can be combined with any of the accessory modules. The Advocate Lav System has a number of other high technology features that have helped it earn its title of ³most environmentally friendly lav system available.´ There are two water activation methods to choose from, the reliable plug-in battery or ndite® infrared activation. Ndite® infrared activation is a light-powered technology that uses surrounding sunlight or artificial light without any batteries. The actual water flow rate is a very low 0.38 gallons per minute which will save the building owner money every month. In addition, this lav system is ADA and ANSI compliant. The Advocate Lavatory System also conceals plumbing and electrical connections making the system both more attractive and less prone to vandalism. The fact that the plumbing and electrical connections are concealed also reduces the time needed for installation and future maintenance. This system also features sixteen gauge stainless steel mounting channels and twelve gauge basin supports for easier and quicker mounting. The hand dryer at each hand washing station features an individual infrared activation. These dyers feature a low energy, energy efficient system that utilizes only 650 watts of electricity. Drying time will be 15 to 20

seconds for most users.
