Any movie that ends after the credits with an exhausted Avenger team stuffing their faces with shawarmas, no dialogue, no recognition of each other or the camera and you just have to love these characters saving our universe by working together as a team .

One Word Movie Review: Hulkadorable
There are so many good things happening in The Avengers that one should resist taking it apart to analyze why it works so well. So I will concentrate on the team itself and the interplay of characters that slowly build into a classic battle royale with our world at stake. This all-superstar feature has been building for years, with the Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor movies all building towards this union of powerful costumes to defend us in our time of greatest need. It works because there isn’t one dominating hero, but a careful balance of stealth and strength, arrogance and genius, courage and sacrifice and ultimately, planning over reacting. Writer/director Joss Whedon delivers the whole package here, using his natural ease with women warriors to bring out the best of the Black Widow

character as well as the manipulations of Nick Fury and controlling the wisecracks of Tony Stark. The result is a tight story; moments for each hero to shine bright and display vulnerability underneath the super powers that make even a demi-god seem human. The evil Loki never seems to rise to a supreme level of threatening menace that the story requires, but this is a minor fault. This is a movie where Whedon delivers on the promise hinted at in the previous movies.

The Story
Not much really, except we meet each hero in their own intro scene (Black Widow has the best intro, tied to an interrogation chair) and they fight each other over petty misunderstandings. Then the evil Loki threatens the world, we capture him and pay the price, things get desperate and then, as a portal to another universe full of monstrous aliens opens above Manhattan, we watch our heroes smash their way to temporary victory. Will they be needed again? By Thanos, yes! Wait for the end scenes in the credits for a hint of Avengers 2 and then the inspired end scene of hungry heroes exhausted and drained. The best.

The Genre
The “sci-fi fantasy super hero comic book action adventure comedy romance” genre is super hot these days. My audience was a mix of dates, teens, families and

boomers, a broad cross-section of the movie audience. There was something for everyone. This is what this genre is all about. It will be with us for a long time, as opposed to the dismal attempts like John Carter of Mars. We have more coming, with the Batman Dark Knight trilogy coming to a close, and a re-vamped Spider Man swinging close behind.

The Overall Quality
The Avengers looks great, from the actors to the aliens and everything in between. We even get a cameo from Harry Dean Stanton. It’s all top notch filmmaking. Toss in a few good jokes, some sexy guys and girls kicking butt and what’s not to like? However, it all comes down to the script which builds each character into a key piece of the Avenger puzzle: how to get these super hero egos to work together? Without a great script, this could have been an epic disaster. Well worth the ticket price, even in redundant 3D. Imax would be the preferred venue to really do justice to such a big movie as this.

Movie/Market Analysis
The Movie Mood for audiences is Positive. The Avengers satisfies all ages, audience groups and delivers beyond

expectations. No rip-off vibes here. Hell, the audience in my theater even applauded at the end! MarketBOB's Movie Review Sentiment Indicators, the GQS (Genre, Quality, Story) rate The Avengers an emotional BULL. This is a mega-franchise as the centerpiece of the Marvel Universe of characters.
