It matters very little whether one believes in life after death or not. Death of a loved one is difficult in and of itself. It is called tragedy for a reason. And then, tragic and difficult as it is, loved ones and families left behind have to deal not just with the loss and the need to grieve but the need to organize a fitting funeral. Add to the fact that it has to be a good funeral in order to honor the memory and life of the departed. It is tragedy and pressure put together. And funeral homes provide services to alleviate, if not the pain of the loss, at least the stress that comes with trying to organize a good funeral.
