Diary Dates Yr 6 Residential Trip to Manor Adventure, Choir, French, KS2 Crossbar Football Club, KS1 Arts and Crafts Club and KS2 Art Club KS1 Crossbar Football Club NO TECHNOLOGY OR CROSS COUNTRY CLUBS THIS WEEK “World Book Day” - Boys Football Club – NO FOREST FRIENDS CLUB THIS WEEK Yr 6 Children return from Manor Adventure - Girls Football Club Choir, French, Gardening Club, KS2 Crossbar Football Club, KS1 Arts and Crafts Club and KS2 Art Club.

IMPORTANT NOTICE Please note, that the office will run on limited staff this Wednesday due to training taking place. We would be very grateful if everyone could ensure that children have what they need for the day, at the start of the day and that all end of day arrangements have been made and communicated to the teacher concerned when the children are dropped off. It will be very difficult for the member of staff covering the office, to leave to take messages/items around school unless they are urgent. Your help would be much appreciated – Thank you! Funday Friday Feast Chestnut class have chosen the menu for this week. They have selected: Chicken Burger or Fish Fingers Vegetarian Burger Chips or Pasta Baked Beans, sweetcorn, salad Ice Cream Sponge & Custard Story Spuds Just a reminder about ‘Story Spuds’ for World Book Day: The idea is to turn an actual potato into a story character. This is instead of dressing up on the day. Please could the potato be in school by Thursday 6th March. Nursery and Reception children ARE included. There will be a prize for the best Story Spud. Also any books, for the book sale Thank you, Miss Goodall “Delightful Diners” Last week’s “Delightful Diner” was Finlay McGill from Willow Class. We are told that Finlay is always extremely polite during lunchtime. Well done Finlay!
Our next GSA meeting is on Monday 10th March at 3.15pm. We will be discussing the Easter and Summer Fairs. Please come along (everyone is welcome!) and put forward your ideas. If you are unable to come but have some ideas or any feedback, please let us know! You can e mail us on [email protected]

School Newspaper Our school newspaper, “The Voice” will be resurrected and published at the end of term. With almost 400 children and their families, the paper will reach a large number of households. If you would like to advertise in our newspaper, or know anyone who would like to, we will provide a space for you at a cost of £15.00. Monies raised will help towards the cost of printing. If you are interested, please e mail your details to [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your support! “Come Dine with Me”

Sycamore Class – 12th March Elm Class – 19th March Acer Class – 26th March Holly Class – 2nd April Willow Class – 9th April Rowan Class – 30th April Nursery Class – 7th May ALL the above dates are on a Tuesday. Letters have been sent home, at this moment in time, for classes Sycamore – Holly inclusive. The BIG Pedal 2014 Once again, we are supporting the above campaign and would like you to join us! All you have to do, is to cycle or “scoot” to school each day, during the event, (parent and sibling journeys count too!!). We will be competing against other schools right across the UK and if we clock up the most bike and scooter miles, we win! The event runs from today until 14th March and it is totally FREE to enter. We always have fantastic support for this scheme and are hoping you will join us again. Full details will be available from the Nursery after Easter.
