previously worked as a teacher.
Subject - what someone is writing or talking about - Chemistry is

Method - a way of doing something - What's the best method
for solving this problem?
Childhood - the part of your life when you are a child - She spent
most of her childhood on a farm in Texas.
Extension - a new room or rooms that are added to a building You could build an extension onto the back of the house.
Connection - a relationship between people or things - We were
delayed and missed our connection.
Operator - someone who helps to connect people on a
telephone system - Why don't you call the operator?
Mouthpiece - To play the recorder, blow gently into the mouthpiece.
Pronunciation - how words are pronounced - There are two
different pronunciations of this word.
Thin - having a small distance between two opposite sides - The
walls are very thin.
