Tulsa X-Factor Paintball By-Laws The point of these by-laws is to provide a common reference point for all current and future team members. They outline team philosophy, field rules, team layout, and structure along with various team positions and roles. These by-laws were developed by the senior leadership group (SLG) and ratified by a 2/3s vote and signatures of the current active members. Major changes must be approved by a 2/3s vote of the leadership group (leadership group consist of ghost flankers and assistant squad leaders and above) and minor changes and updates can be approved by the senior leadership group. All new players will sign a copy of the by-laws upon achieving full member status.

X-Factor Philosophy X-Factor is a woodsball/scenario paintball team with the primary focus of having fun while playing safe. We are primarily a team that plays an aggressive defensive style game specializing in flanking actions to take and hold our objectives. As a team we are all willing to sacrifice to reach our objectives. Above all, we play with the highest level of professionalism and integrity while keeping in mind the example we are setting for others. Part of setting the example includes: always maintaining a good attitude, no arguing (if there is an issue, take it to our leadership), keeping tempers in check, no bragging, and being mindful of our language. Regardless of what might be happening around us, we will always maintain our professionalism and standards. This is a game and is for fun. If the actions of others are preventing it from being a fun honest game, walk away. At no time and for no reason will we ever lower our standards. Regardless of events on or off the field, we support each other throughout. While we joke with each other, we will always have each other’s back and will always provide positive support. We do not accept cheating by an X-Factor member or guest of any nature. All members and guests accept and agree to this rule. Anyone caught cheating will be kicked off the team and not invited to any future team events. Field Rules We are fortunate enough to have our own private field that we use for all type of events. This land is owned by Buddy Lindsey’s family who has been gracious enough to let us play and build multiple bunkers along with staging facilities. It is imperative that we always respect and do not abuse this privilege. In order to insure a safe playing environment, the following rules are to be observed at all times. Violations can result in removal from the field and possibly the team. These rules are primarily intended for our private field and while they are superseded when playing at another field, their spirit is still in effect:

1. Do not wipe paint. This is cheating and will get a player thrown off the team and/or field. 2. No shooting street signs or field signs 3. No children under 10 play paintball on field. 4. Children 10 to 12 years must be accompanied by their parents and be within 50 feet during game being played and have signed waiver and a signature from parent on waiver. 5. Children 12 to 14 years parents must be accompanied on field during game being played and have signed waiver and a signature from parent on waiver. 6. Children 14 to 18 years have signed waiver and a signature from parent on waiver. 7. All players will sign a new waiver every year. 8. A paintball approved face mask will be worn at all times on field during games. 9. No girls under 18 years without approval of the SLG. 10. No shooting paintballs in common area, staging area or in parking lot, only in target range. 11. All guns will be chronoed before game every day at 285 FPS or less. 12. If you yell hit or out and then find out it did not mark you, you are still out of the game. 13. A paintball breaking anywhere on your body including your gun is considered a kill. 14. Must have barrel plug or cover when entering field. Barrel plug in staging area. 15. When you call yourself out, stand up, immediately put a barrel plug in your gun, hold your gun up and exit the field. 16. Dead men do not pass ammo or equipment to live men. Dead men do not talk. Live men do not steal or borrow dead men’s ammo or equipment. 17. No blind shooting. 18. No unauthorized equipment. 19. No shooting cars on road or parking lot. 20. Do not leave any trash anywhere on the field.

21. A road runs along the north border of the field. If while playing near the road, you see a car, yell “car” to all players in the area and cease fire. Do not advance on any player while waiting for the car to leave the area. Once clear, yell “game on” and resume play. 22. Unless it is a snake that you are in danger of being bitten by, do not shoot any wild animals encountered on the field. There are large black snakes on the field that eat rodents. Leave them alone. 23. Keep in mind and be observant for the rocky and deep ravines on the field that are hazardous. 24. Do not overshoot another player. However it is understood that when one paintball is in the air there will typically be three or four more with it. 25. Do not shoot someone closer than 10 feet without first calling for surrender. 26. If a player touches a bunker, then all opposing players within 3 feet of the bunker are eliminated. 27. Semi-automatic firing only. 28. A player is considered out if they intentionally or clearly go out of bounds.

Team Layout On the field, most of the team is grouped into squads with each squad having a specific focus (assault or flank) and mission. Players are assigned to a squad based on their preference, style of play, and equipment. Each squad is under the command of the designated squad leader who reports to either the team XO or team General. Reporting directly to the team General are special forces players (ghost flankers and snipers). Based upon the number of players attending events, additional squads will be stood up as needed. Team Membership Membership is achieved thru a point system. A player earns 1 point for each practice or team meeting and 2 points for attending an event with X-Factor or participating in a work day at the field. 10 points are required for team membership with a minimum of 3 coming from practice events. Players must also demonstrate a willingness to adhere to the X-Factor philosophy and present themselves as a good steward of the sport. There is no time limit for obtaining the required points. Once a player is accepted as a new member, they are then permitted to wear XFactor shirts and patches. Once a player has obtained team membership, unless they flagrantly violate team rules they are a member for life. While there isn’t a requirement to attend any events, players who do not attend

any team event (practice, meeting, work day, or event) over a period of one year are moved to the inactive role. Inactive players maintain membership and rank, but lose voting rights. Inactive players can return to active status by attending two team events and with the concurrence of senior team leadership. Members are selected for team leadership positions based on their demonstrated leadership ability; desire to move into a leadership position, team commitment, and team seniority. All team leaders are expected to attend at least one event every six months. Any leader not attending an event during a six month period will meet with senior leadership to discuss if they should maintain a leadership role. It will be senior leadership’s decision if the member retains their leadership position. X-Factor leadership positions include:  Team General o Has overall team command and responsibility. o Member of the senior leadership group o Direct commander of the special forces squad Executive Officer (XO) o Second in command o When attending events where the X-Factor Team General is an event General, then the XO will be in command of X-Factor o Member of the senior leadership group Operations Planning Officer (XPO) o Third in command o Member of the senior leadership group o Responsible for all team administrative functions o Working with the XO, develops team training methods and plans Squad Leaders/Assistant Squad Leaders o Tactical command of a squad o Responsible for all squad activities o Using the XPOs training plans, provides training to squad members Logistics/Comm Officer o Coordinates car pooling and rides to events for team members and guests o Coordinates on field radio communications Buddy Lindsey o In charge of, responsible for, and schedules all events at the X-Factor field in Kellyville o Maintains player waivers o Works with the senior leadership group on all policies and procedures involving the field
