How to Change The Miata Vent Window Glass By: David Wehbie

I hope these instructions will help. Remember to take you time and enjoy working on your miata. These pictures came from my 1991. S tep 1. Remove the window crank handle. A rag can be used to remove the clip.

S tep 2. Remove the sp eaker eaker cover

S tep 3. Remove the Arm Rest

S tep 4. Remove the Latch Handle Trim Plate

S tep 6. Peel back the plastic

P anel Step 5. Remove the Door Panel

S tep 7. Remove the bottom track screw

 

S tep 8. Remove the top track screw

Step 10. Remove the weather stripping st ripping

S tep 9. Remove the top L-Bracket screw

Step 11. Remove the other top L-Bracket screw

Step 12. Separate the top of the track from the frame. Remove the seal from the track as y ou p ull out the track. You You do not have to remove the seal seal all the way.

Step 13. Remove the glass with gasket

S tep 14. Inst Install all the new glass with gasket

 

Step 15. Inst Install all the t rack and weather stri st ripp pping ing.. Use glass glass cleane cl eanerr tto o lubricate t he seal as everything goes together. Slide. the top L-bracket in place

Step 16. Inst Install all the front L-bracket L-bracket screw.

Step 18. Inst Install all the rear L-bracket L-bracket screw. s crew.

Step 17. Inst Install all weather weather stri st ripp pping ing..

Step 20. Install the bottom track screw.

Step 19. Install the top track screw.

Step 21. Put the t he p lastic back back in p lace. lace.

 

Step 22. Replace the door panel.

Step 24. Replace the window crank.

Step 26. Replace the arm rest.

S tep 23. Replace the sp eaker eaker cover.

S tep 25. Replace the latch handle trim t rim..

Step 27. Smile!!!!!!
