Section 1 Introduction
The purpose of this documentation is to describe how to use the virtual appliance
which embeds Ulteo Open Virtual Desktop components such as Session Manager, Web
Portal Java/HTML¸, FileServer and Linux Application Server

Section 2 Installation
OVD Virtual appliance works with both VMware or VirtualBox. For easy setup, use a
dhcp network with a bridged interface on your host machine configuration.
2.1 VMWare Installation
You can use for demo VMWare Player.
Once launched, import your ova file into VMWare Player

2.2 VirtualBox Installation
You can use for demo VirtualBox.
Once launched, import your ova file into VirtualBox

Click on "Reinitialize the MAC address..."

By default,
VirtualBox fails to assign an network interface. You need to update it into the Virtual
Machine settings
Open the settings box and validate by clicking on OK

Section 3 Run it !
Quite easy to use, the OVD Virtual appliance allows you to quickly get an idea of what
is OVD and how this works. Check you shell console to get the íP
Web Portal settings and howto use it is available here
Once run, you should have access on an OVD demo farm. Go to http://vapp.test.demo
