Introduction
Hello friend, I want to thank you very much for taking the first step towards changing the course of your life in the Nigerian job hunting game. Your taking this step shows that you are ready to make all the necessary changes that will land you into your dream job within the shortest possible time. I would like to encourage you to carefully learn, the things that I will be sharing with you in this report because this may be the only opportunity that you may have to get this kind of first-hand information. Do have a nice time reading. It is no longer breaking news that finding jobs in our country; Nigeria is almost an impossible adventure. This is because of what I call the “WhoYou-Know” syndrome that has negatively affected the minds of so many Nigerian job applicants today. What do I mean? It is often believed by these applicants that it is who you know that matter in the Nigerian job hunting adventure. This implies that if you do not know or have somebody at the helm of affairs of any company or firm that you intend to work, then the possibility of you getting a job is very slim. Most of these applicants spend almost all their time looking for the so-called 'Connection' that will give them the job that they so desire and this has made so many of them lose their valuable assets. Some have even gone as far as borrowing money to give to someone that claims to be at the helm of affairs or knows who can help them get a job as quickly as possible, while some of our female folks have been misled all in the name of getting a job. What a pity! You may want to ask, does this mean people are not using this “Who-youknow” to get jobs in Nigeria? Yes, some may have gotten theirs through these means but do you know how many Nigerian applicants that have been wasting their precious time and life, all in the name of waiting for one 'big dude' somewhere that may have promised them job? What a waste of time! My question here is, does it mean that all the employees in our county got into their various offices only by this means? You will agree with me that

there must be so many other employees that got theirs without having to pass through anybody. I know of so many people that got theirs without anybody's assistance. How did this happen? You may want to ask. This was the reason why I have decided to put together this free material to help as many persons that will be humble enough to apply some of the secrets that I will be sharing in this book to work in their life. In the rest pages of this material, I will be revealing some of the major causes of unemployment in our country and also share with you some of the exact things to do in order to distinguish yourself from the crowd as an applicant. I believe that it will make no sense doing the same thing over and over again when you are not getting any positive results from it. It high time we changed the way we do things if we must experience positive changes in any aspect of our individual lives. So I will encourage you to take your time to ponder and digest this piece of information (as it applies to you).

Understanding the Nigerian Job Market
In Nigerian job market today, you will find out that things are gradually changing as the traditional way of applying for jobs are now becoming obsolete. In a few years from now, all job applications will be done online. Many multinational companies have already started using online as their only medium for accepting job applications from applicants while others are still in the process of making this a reality. With time, it will be very difficult, if not impossible; to find any company or firm that will be accepting manual or offline applications from applicants. What does this imply? It therefore suggests that applicants will have to make all necessary adjustments as quickly as possible, to match these new developments in the job market. Another important fact that I will like to share is that, because of the huge volumes of applications that employers receive each year, it now almost

impossible for them to spend much time trying to go through all the individual CV of applicants. From my research, I have discovered that employers or job consultants are not willing to waste their time and energy going through any CV submitted by an applicant when it does not contain what is required. Well, I will take my time to talk more about this in the later part of this material. Recently, I was going through some online articles and I was very surprised to learn that employers and job consultants spend less than one minute to go through an application. How is this possible? You may want to ask like I did when I was reading those few lines of articles. As I did more research, I realized it was true. Employers spend only few seconds on the first page of your CV and if they cannot find what they are looking for, then it is trashed or dropped immediately. How you present or format your CV is key to your job hunting success. In the later part of the book, I will also be sharing with you some very helpful tips on what to do. But before then, I will like us to discuss some of the major causes of unemployment in Nigeria.

Major Causes/Remedies of Unemployment in Nigeria
In this session, I will be sharing with you some of the major causes of unemployment in our country and how you can be smart enough to avoid repeating or making the same mistakes that have kept other applicants in the same spot. I will encourage you take your time to explore some of the secrets that I will be unfolding here with you. Trying to solve any problem in life without, first of all, finding the cause of such a problem is nothing but a waste of time and effort. If you to see any medical doctor for any health related problem, you will find out that he does not start administering treatments immediately. What he does, is to conduct test on you to know the exact cause of the problem before he can administer the appropriate treatment on your case. The same thing applies here. If as an applicant, you have been applying for jobs for a long time and you are not getting any positive response from your potential employers, then I think it will be wise for you to first of all, pause and ask yourself some life

changing questions like: What am I doing wrong? Does it mean these companies that I have applied to are not contacting other applicants? If they are, why are they not contacting me? Then you will tell yourself this truth that all of these companies that have not contacted me cannot be wrong at the same time. So, there must be something I am not doing correctly. Asking yourself these questions above and also telling yourself this truth will not change your approach towards things but will also force you to seek every necessary source of information that will be of great assistance in your desired quest. Also, if you have been waiting for one “Uncle” somewhere that have promised job to fulfill his promise or you have been looking for one “Big Daddy” somewhere to help you a job, it will be also be very important for you to ask yourself some thoughtful questions as well. You can start by asking yourself questions like: how long will I continue to wait or look for someone to help me get a job? Does it mean that if I make up my mind today to get all the appropriate information on what it takes to get a job that I cannot find myself a job? If you can genuinely ask yourself these questions, you will be surprised how many changes that it will cause within you and will be very ready to pay any prize or sacrifice that it cost you to find yourself a job. Below, I will like to share with you some of the major things that cause unemployment so that you will be able to make every necessary adjustment as it applies to you.

The ‘God’ Factor
You may want to ask, what has God got to do with this again? Maybe it will be nice for you to be patient with me as I drive home my point. Stay with me and you will understand clearly how this can affect your job hunting adventure. In Nigeria today, there two major religions and maybe other minor ones. But as a Christian, would like to illustrate my point using the Christian people. Telling God to do what you are supposed to do is being irresponsible without knowing. How do I mean? If you are looking for a job as a Christian for example, all you do is only fast, pray, go for all night miracle services and after that, does nothing simply because you believe from the bible that: ...that with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26 NIV ), do you think

you can get a job even after you have done all these without applying for any job? What about the bible verse that say: ...faith without works is dead also (James 2:26 NKJV)? My point here is that, God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), so He cannot contradict His words. So if any of us believes Him for a Job, he must show it by backing his belief with his actions (works). That is, after he has done all his prayers, then he must do all the necessary job applications that are required to get him a job. This is where many folks miss it. They only pray and start waiting that one day job will get a job without applying for it. This one of the major reasons why they have waited for so long because nothing works until you make it to work. I would like to also make myself clear, here, that prayer is very important in our lives. I am only saying that when you pray alone without backing your prayers with corresponding actions will make your prayers ineffective. This is one of the reasons many of us are not getting results from their prayers. So it is PRAYERS + CORRESPONDING ACTIONS = DESIRED RESULTS.

The 'Self' Factor
Having a poor belief system could negatively affect everything you do in life as a person. If you already believe for example, finding a job is very difficult or you do not have the connection to get you a job, this may negatively affect your actions which will also hinder you from taking all the necessary steps that will get you a job. It will really be very important for us to change the way we see ourselves if we desire to see positive changes in our lives. There is no doubt that searching for job requires some hard work and discipline as well. So it will demand some time and efforts from you. Knowing this fact alone, will give you some level confidence and this will enhance your approaches in making your dream a reality. So my dear friend, I will like to encourage you to always put in your best in all that you do in life, most especially now that you are searching a job and you will be very surprised at the results that you will get at the end of it all.

The 'Who-You-Know' Factor

If you would recall from the introductory part of the report, I talked about this subject and I may not be discussing much about this. So I would like to believe that you already gotten idea of what I meant by this subject. Many applicants today, have allowed their minds to be programmed either directly or indirectly by believing that if they do not know or have anybody at the ' Top ' that they cannot have any job. What a false belief! Some may have gotten theirs through this means but do you know that out of the so many applicants waiting and hoping to find their dream job through this means that only a very few fraction of them actually succeeds? Who knows, maybe you are among the many applicants who have not found any one to help or connect them to their dream jobs that is why you reading this now to know exactly what to do next. But what will you do when you do not have or find anyone to link or connect you? Sit and wait or start wasting your valuable time looking for one? This is where many applicants have found themselves today and this is one of the major factors that have been holding them back. For you, I know that you are among the very smart applicants that would like to do things differently to get different results in your job hunting that is why you are reading this now. My point here is that, it is very possible to still get a job without this humiliating method of looking for who can help you. Do you know that no man can help you more than you can help yourself? Don't you think it will be more dignified if you can do it yourself rather than getting the help from someone that may end up trying to act as if he or she is your god? All you need to make this happen my dear friend is just the right information (just like the one you are reading right now) and your willingness to apply yourself to the very information that you have gotten.

Five Steps to Correctly Search for Job

Now that you have known the three major causes of unemployment in our country and how you can you completely avoid the same mistakes, I think it will be very important at this point, to also share with you the next vital steps to take in order to win the job hunting game. This is where you really need to take seriously because you may never find some of the information that I am going to be sharing with you in any book or material. So I will really, encourage you to take your time to digest this piece of information and put to work what you have shared with you here. Join me now as we get started!

Step One The Right Mind Set
You may want to ask that what this has to do with finding a job. If you permit me, I would politely tell you, in my opinion, that this is the most important factor to be considered if you must be successful in your job searching adventure. Without having the right frame of mind all the time, it will be very difficult, if not impossible for anybody to achieve anything tangible in life. What exactly do I mean? I am saying here that having the right mind set is simply being positive that any challenge you face in life, that there must always be a way out of it. You now convince yourself that as our individual names are different, so is our destinies. So if other applicants are not finding jobs, I must get a job because I don't have the same destinies with them. This is the kind of mind set you need to build in yourself all the time and once you are convinced about this, it will be impossible for you to be discouraged in your quest for finding the right job. Before we talk about your next step to take after this, I will like to encourage you, my dear reader, to always let this mindset be in you and to completely avoid any friend or group of friends that will make you think otherwise if you are not able to make them think like you. I trust you not allow them!

Step Two

Choose your Areas of Interest
Searching for a job demands some hard work and it therefore requires some strategic approach. You should avoid the temptation of applying for any job vacancy you find simply because it is vacant. This is because all the job vacancies are not meant for you. This means that, there are some jobs that you qualify for and there are others you don't. So it will be very important for you to choose the areas or sectors in the job market that you are interested and making applications as it applies to you. For example, if you are a fresh graduate with no previous work experience, you should focus more on 'Graduate Trainee' job vacancies and other jobs vacancies that requires no previous working experience. This will save you a lot of stresses and discouragements. My point here is that when you focus more on job vacancies that relates to you, it will save you some energy and you will be surprised at the results that you will be getting as you put this into practice. In the next step, you will be learning some new stuff about putting your CV formatting.

Step Three Customize your CV
This is the next step to take after you have chosen your areas in the job market that you want to make applications to. For example, when you come across any job opening that you are interested in, you should not just be in a hurry to send your CV without taking your time to go through the job requirements. Once you are done with that, you can then customize your CV to suite the requirements of the job by rearranging it in descending order of importance. That is, putting the most important points in your CV before the less important one. Let us move now to the next step.

Step Four

Step Four Join useful Networks

This is one of the things that you need to do in order to take full advantage of the job vacancies that is available in the Nigerian job market or any other one in the world. You can join networks like job forums, News Papers Facebook fan pages of companies of interest, Church Service groups, some professional networking sites like LinkedIn and others. The point I am trying to establish here is for you to enlarge your job hunting network. It could even be by connecting and sharing job vacancy opportunities with your other friends on Facebook and Twitter. This is because, whenever there is any job vacancy, it is very this networks that you can get first hand information. In my new eBook “Nigerian Job Hunting Tools”, I illustrated this and other useful tools with examples and screen shots to actually show you how you can achieve this as fast as possible. So I will also encourage you take advantage of the new book in order to save you a huge time of trying to figure out things yourself. At the end of this report, you get details on how you can get this new eBook. Let us now precede to the last step.

Step Five Keep Records of all your Applications
When you start making job applications, it always very advisable to keep records of all your applications either by creating a folder in your existing email account or by opening a separate email account just for this purpose. This is very important because there maybe situations where you have edited your CV to some job applications, so when you start getting responses from the applications that you have made, it will now make it very easy for you to locate such applications from your records and reviewing them accordingly.

The Only thing that can negatively affect you
The only thing that will make all this information that you have now

acquired not to be effective is LACK OF ACTIONS (PROCRASTINATION). Laziness is another name for procrastination. Well, I want to believe that you will not allow this to rub you of your job.
