Measures
Where possible, a MEWP should be used to access the work area.
Ladders/stepladders must only be used where it is not practical to use any other
WAH equipment with a platform and edge protection.
Three points of contact must be maintained on a ladder. Tool /bucket holders may
be required.
1 Refer to Risk Assessment No – W@H – 001, 002, 003, 005, 006 and PLANT - 009 for
Working at Height Equipment.
2 Refer to Risk Assessment No – BUILD - 010 for working near overhead electrical lines.
3 Refer to Risk Assessment No – PLANT - 001 for use of plant and equipment.
4 All debris from the gutters will be bagged and taken to ground level
5 No bombing of debris will be carried out at any time.
6 An exclusion zone can be erected around the work area to prevent only authorised
persons working in the area.
7 On materials & tools required for the works will be taken to height.
8 Appropriate P.P.E will be utilised at all times.
9 All works will be planned and supervised at all times.
