Dutch director, largely non-American cast A spy thriller but not a typical Clooney film Contemplative, I found time to let the movie sink in, others might find it boring

Ryan Reynolds I have to reveal the premise to this one: it's about someone Ivana Miño buried alive trying to find a way out Stephen Tobolowsky Not for me but if the premise sounds interesting, sounds like the film is well executed Emma Stone Penn Badgley Amanda Bynes Julia Roberts Javier Bardem A witty, wiser than expected high school movie Loosely based on the Scarlet Letter

Travelogue meets self help, better than expected All about Julia Roberts character, others actors are supporting. Director Noe (Irreversible) known as an excting artist This film is non linear, psychedelic, love or hate RT users gave it lower marks than RT Reviewers Note the running time of 163 minutes Based on a true story of a 1930's Tennessee hermit Character study, Duval's exceptional

Slightly intelligent French Rom Com Big hit in France featuring 2 big French stars Light, fun entertainment Story about Allen Ginsberg's famous poem and life Part biopic, part documentary, with elements of fiction it's sort of a hybrid of all the above RT score seems oddly low, RT users rating is higher

Leonardo DiCaprio I don't like sci fi, this is sci fi, even I found it watchable Joseph Gordon-Levitt It's an intricate puzzle, you'll have to think throughout Ellen Page 8.2 out of 10 based on 768 metacritic users Narrated by Matt Damon, it details the 2008 financial meltdown in the U.S. If you want a credible explanation of how it happened, don't miss this film. Keir Gilchrist Zach Galifianakis Emma Roberts This co-directing team has also done Half Nelson (which was very solid), and Sugar. A smart comedy, not too heavy but not just silly either.

Philip Seymour Hoffman Philip Seymour Hoffman Based on a Robert Glaudini play John Ortiz 4 Characters lives intersect, this film details what it feels Amy Ryan like for those characters giving the viewer the chance Daphne Rubin-Vega to experience these things as though they were happening in our own lives. Most of the audience I saw it with clapped at the end! D.A. Pennebaker Chris Hegedus Jacquy Pfeiffer Nicolas Sarkozy Tells the story behind the Meillieurs Ouvriers de France which is France's highest honor for a Pattiserie Directors are well known having made The War Room to Elaine Stritch: At Liberty and much in between

Suqin Chen Changhua Zhan Qin Zhang Kristin Scott Thomas Respected french film maker, very french subject matter Sergi López Metacritic score is based on only 8 reviews, my sense is Yvan Attal this will be good for french film buffs. Chloe Moretz Kodi Smit-McPhee Richard Jenkins Cara Buono Danny Trejo Robert De Niro Jessica Alba Steven Seagal Bruce Greenwood Kyle MacLachlan Joan Chen Amanda Schull Vincent Cassel Ludivine Sagnier Mathieu Amalric Remake of respected 2008 Swedish film, Let the Right One In. Reviews suggest this is a very credible remake. I tend not to enjoy sci-fi or horror so I'm going to pass for those who like the genre, sounds worth seeing. Violent, grindhouse film, not for me but if you like this style of film, user reviews are positive and critical reviews are positive.

French gangster film based on a real person This is part 2, Part 1 isn't available on DVD in the U.S. Part 1 also isn't necessary to enjoy the film Violent, but ultimately it's a very solid character study

Aaron Johnson John Lennon biopic Kristin Scott Thomas Appears to be well crafted, many reviewers say interest in Lennon/Beatles is not needed to enjoy this coming of age Michael Cera Based on cult comic book series Mary Elizabeth Winstead Context, trappings are aimed at 20 somethings Kieran Culkin But the story and underpinnings are well enough done Chris Evans that anyone can enjoy this. Diane Lane John Malkovich Scott Glenn James Cromwell Jesse Eisenberg Andrew Garfield Justin Timberlake Based on the true story, it's on my list as a film the entire family can see. It's an amazing story with charismatic actors Don't expect new cinematic ground to be broken but it'll be solid Simultaneously timely and timeless Well enough done to engage the art film crowd, appealing enough that it ought to find a large audience One of the rare films I'd recommend to almost anyone Based on Posy Simmonds graphic novel which was based on a Thomas Hardy novel, this is a solidly British production Frears directed Dangerous Liasons and The Queen, that's enough credibility for me to see whatever he does Very solid cops & robbers, largely authentic, interesting Avoids most of the easy stereotypes Would seem to have very broad appeal, has elements of action, romance as well as compelling acting Director Guggenheim has directed An Inconvenient Truth and It Might Get Loud among other docs & episodic TV Film is a great conversation starter about what needs to be done to improve our public school system and it's interesting in the process Worthy follow up to Wall Street (1987) Some might find it long but the story's solid and it's probably worth the price of admission for the acting alone

Woody Allen
Not sure why reviews are so mixed, this is middle of the road Woody, it's not wacky, it's not classic but it's still smart and the human condition is still well chronicled. It's largely the same turf Woody's been working on forever, just in London instead of New York but the actors are all fun to watch.
