Dear Applicant, Thank you for your interest in the Antioch Scholarship Program. In order to encourage young people to be involved in community work, the Antioch Scholarship Foundation (ASF) is offering a college scholarship award of $1000 each to high school seniors who have a true passion for community service. Conditions of the Award: The recipients of the scholarship will be a student who:
∗ Is a high school senior class student; ∗ Is in good scholastic standing; ∗ Demonstrates interest in their community through service; ∗ Will be entering college as a freshman immediately following high school graduation.

Required Materials:
∗ A completed application form ∗ A personal essay ∗ Two letters of recommendation ∗ A copy of official transcript

Also, please submit a completed application form and other required materials post-marked by Friday, May 4th, 2012 to the Antioch Scholarship Foundation OR delivered by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 to the church office. PURPOSES OF THE ANTIOCH SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION:

1) To promote future leadership among young students at the Antioch Church of Philadelphia 2) To promote relationships with the local community; and 3) To promote Christian leadership among young students of Korean heritage The Antioch Scholarship Foundation has established three scholarship programs to achieve the above purposes: 1) Antioch Christian Leadership Scholarship 2) Antioch Community Scholarship, and 3) Antioch Korean heritage Scholarship CONDITIONS OF EACH SCHOLARSHIP: 1) Antioch Christian Leadership Scholarship: Member of Antioch Church of Philadelphia, demonstration of Christian leadership through community or church activities, demonstrates financial need, and a full time student enrolled in college, graduate school, or seminary. 2) Antioch Community Scholarship: High school seniors in good scholastic standing, demonstration of leadership through community activities, and entering college as a freshman following high school graduation. 3) Antioch Korean heritage Scholarship Post-secondary student, and a person of Korean heritage or interest in Korean heritage. SCHOLARSHIP AWARD CEREMONY AND LUNCHEON: Scholarships will be awarded during a Sunday worship service at 10:00 a.m. at the Antioch Church of Philadelphia with a luncheon to follow. Finalists will be notified of the date of the award ceremony and luncheon. 1) Personal essay: Describe your community volunteer activities that demonstrate your promise as a future community leader. Please type or print neatly. 2) Two letters of recommendation: These letters should be written by a principal, counselor, teacher, and/or community leader. Letters from applicant’s parents or guardians will not be accepted. Also, two letters from church members or employees will not be accepted. 3) Transcript: Submit a copy of transcript of your high school record to date. The transcript should include college entrance examination board test scores if they are available, plus any other test scores that are part of your permanent record.
