Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple, Sr. reports that two more search warrants were executed during the early evening hours of Tuesday, August 5, 2014. These warrants were associated with the large scale heroin operation that had been plaguing Capital Region neighborhoods which was taken down late last week when investigators executed search warrants netting more than 15 ounces of heroin that was found at the two residences — 1779 Central Ave., Colonie, and 2185 River Road, Coeymans. In those cases sheriff’s officials also located $32,000 in cash and a quantity of cocaine and marijuana.
