Minority Reports – Additional Platform Resolutions
Under party rules “The report of the state platform committee shall be submitted to the state assembly. Minority
reports of the state platform committee offered by ten percent (10%) of the total membership of the committee
shall be offered on a petition describing the minority report. Such minority report shall be submitted to the chair of
the state resolutions committee prior to the convening of the state assembly. Debate on the resolutions at the
state assembly shall consist of debate on the minority reports. Amendments to the resolutions shall be made only
by minority report. Resolutions adopted by a two-thirds (2/3) majority of the state assembly or convention shall be
the platform of the Party.“ Under Permanent Organization Report rules, debate on the minority reports will be
limited to one minute per amendment for each side.
Each of these items have come through the Platform Committee and have received the mandatory 10% support of
members of the group and have been duly presented prior to the start of the Assembly.

Super-Delegates proportioned in Colorado
WE CALL FOR The votes of Colorado’s Super-Delegates to the Democratic National Convention to be
apportioned among the candidates for presidential nomination in direct proportion to the percentage of the
vote that those candidates received in the precinct caucuses of March 1, 2016.
(Realizing that this is non-binding, we want to be clear to our Democratic Party that we believe in the
democratic process, and Super Delegate designations are inconsistent with that belief).

Social Education in Race
WE CALL FOR education on race, ethnicity, and social position, appropriate to age development, in all grades
of school, increasing opportunities for social contact across racial lines, through integrated activities in social
and learning programs, creation of programs encouraging institutions, such as churches, schools, and
neighborhood organizations to promote relationships and communication across racial lines, and to
encourage colleges and universities to provide education for recognizing and changing unconscious racial and
ethnic biases and to require proficiency in these areas for graduation in teacher education.

Colorado Commission for the Blind
Hundreds of thousands of Americans have been disenfranchised by policies that negatively impact those
most vulnerable. The Colorado Commission for the Blind provided help and guidance for thousands of
impacted citizens, blind or visually impaired, and was allowed to sunset by the GOP in 2011. This does not
reflect our party values. WE CALL FOR reinstatement of the Colorado Commission for the Blind.

Colorado Concealed Weapons Statute Exemption
WE BELIEVE THAT All places of public entertainment and all scientific, educational and cultural institutions
open to the public shall be exempt from Colorado’s Concealed Weapons Statute.

Convention of the States
WE BELIEVE IT IS TIME FOR The convening of a Second Constitutional Convention for the purpose of a
Second Bill of Rights to further enumerate rights under the 9th and 10th Amendments and to reaffirm and
establish proper relations between sovereign individuals, chartered entities, the States, and the federal
government.
