CM4K - SW Management DB Backup

 

General  Nodes Database is fully backed-up backed-up in several several ways: • Database is mirrored to the Standby CFM. • Database is saved in the EMS Database. • Database can be exported to an external file

DB Mirroring to Standby CFM  Database is saved on-line on the active CFM.  Upon new user configuration, database is saved to the Active CFM and

immediately mirrored to the Standby CFM.  In case of a failure of the Active CFM, The standby CFM becomes active

with the same configuration as was before and within sub 50 msec hit traffic.

DB Backup in the EMS

In case that a full site went down (e.g. fire at the site) –  site)  –  Node  Node is fully backed-up at

the EMS level.  The Node can be replaced with a new Node, the same IP address shall be set and

the EMS will force the database to the Node

Node DB Export In addition, Node database can be exported to an external file and imported in case is it required. Select Tools option   Node database   Export

Select the required Nodes and  press “Export” button  button

Backup process will start for entire Nodes in parallel, and then will  be presented as “completed”  “completed”

Node DB Import In order to view the node DB export history, click on the required node, select Tools  Node Database  History

Node DB Import Select the required file from the list. It is possible to import file and commit it later on, and it is possible to import file and commit at the same time.  Note : Committing Committing DB will reset the node.
